My wonderful lady friend and I attended the dinner buffet and show. She enjoyed the Kenny Roger's impersonator as she has always loved his music.

Unfortunately our fireplace didn’t work even though they relit the pilot light. This was on Friday night. Called the gift shop Saturday morning and was told there’s no one here on the weekend to tend to the fireplace. Weather was in low 30s at night and being from Texas we were cold! Sure they have a “furnace” which is loud and goes on and off every 5 minutes. At checkout the cashier just shrugged her shoulders when we said how disappointed we were. Would never recommend this place.

Had a wonderful Labor day weekend stay. Cabin was so nice and food at lodge was great. So nice to see families enjoying the outdoors. Hiking was excellent, appreciated the breakfast buffet and store .

We stayed in a stand-alone cabin, #6 for two nights. The weather was perfect--cool mornings, warm days. A/C worked fine but we turned it off and opened the windows to enjoy the fresh air. Cabin was clean, and the cabins are spaced out and doorways situated so that you feel you have adequate privacy. In the mornings we enjoyed our self-provided breakfasts on the picnic table on the grassy area in the middle. I really liked having the small fridge and picnic table available so that we could do this. After spending the daytime hiking this park and neighboring Lowden St Park, we returned to have dinner at the lodge, outside under the covered patio (2 times). Everyone at the restaurant was so nice and we really appreciated the option of outdoor dining. After that, evenings spent sitting outside until dark. It was a wonderful setting for a getaway from the city.

We had cabin #1 a handicap cabin it was small , they only thing I would complain about is the bed as very and cleaning crew was bad Restaurant and servers were amazing , we had wonderful time ! We heard coyotes and owls and saw adorable chipmunks and squirrels . The restaurant ..the food was really good the staff was Sooooo sweet I love talking with the ladies / servers .We got the romance package a bottle of wine /wine glasses .. 6 huge chocolate truffles . And cheese & crackers and you get a coffee maker with a few coffee filters with the coffee inside . The coffee was very weak I would bring small filters and are own coffee , has a small frig which was really handy & air conditioning and fire place for fall and winter. Expect to have a great time also we enjoy fires in the fire pit buy your wood outside the park just up the road , $5 a bundle and burns great . In the store there the bundles are $7 dollars and very hard to burn that wood get a firestarter for $3. ??.... Have a great time .. We spent all day and night outside .. went in about 11:00 pm . So peaceful and quite .

I feel this place is okay at best...most of the food I'd over priced. $12 for a salad and soup bar with only one soup and no meat to put on the salad is a bit obnoxious and $10 for a kids meal. Server was nice, but slow for there being 4 of them and it wasn't busy.
