The food was very good, hot and fresh. I arrived for my Carry-Out order just as it was being completed. I only wish that there was another counter staff member to assist as the family in front of me had never been to Chicken-N-Spice before so they were asking questions about many of the menu items, as well as the cost of several different menu item combinations. I also wasn't thrilled with the slot machines area in the restaurant, but I guess that is becoming the norm nowadays.

Customer service is terrible I drove over 30 mins to try to catch the restaurant open I arrived two minutes before they close I see a customer coming out and customers inside dining so I decide to go thru the drive thru and the worker says sorry there close they don’t have any food and I say it’s still a minute before the close and she responded the fryers are turned off . I really like the food which is why I take the drive to get them . I should have never been handled like that it’s simply bad for business when you have customers willing to make that commitment

We started coming when the place first opened and had really good experiences, for some time though service wasn’t as good but today we went in 5 min to closing and the two older employees were sooo awesome!!! 7/7/23 closing crew rocks!! The place is super clean too!

The chicken chunks have an Authentic taste that’s been fantastic for over 30 years from when I use to go to the one in Joliet. The home cut fries are equally amazing.

The biscuits were extremely hard. The chicken was very tasty. Also I am a spice lover there wasn't much spice to me. My only complaint is just a personal opinion if I would say anything about the music. The volume was fine it's just the fact that they were playing gospel back to back it was too much for me. But it's not my establishment so they can do what they please!

If you have not tried chicken-n-spice yet then you are missing out. The food proportion you receive is quite large. My husband had the three chicken bite meals with rice and a biscuit and potato wedges and said it was great. I had the rice it was very delicious. My son had the onion rings that work better dipped and the amount he received in the order was quite large. The restaurant was very clean there was lots of space to sit any and the crew were all very nice. Great experience

I love the chunks and the variety of food, however, this place is very expensive for the food you get. I paid over 7 bucks for waffles and 2 chunks and you hardly get full. Sure they add a chicken salad, that I didn't eat, because why do I want chicken salad with my waffle? Keep the salad and add another chunk! The place was very clean. There's even slot machines in the store. That's different. They don't offer discounts for military service. Overall, it's just ok for me, but I probably won't go back.

Chicken sandwich is spicy but the regular chicken on the bone isn't. They only had one employee taking orders up front and drive thru and 2 in the back cooking and the woman couldn't hand be a bag while she takes an order. Gave us our order incomplete and didn't charge us for everything we needed so we had to check out again. The chicken on the bone wasn't bad but the Service was terrible
Used to frequent the Joliet location whenever I could was surprised to see this location in Orland Hills. Was a little disappointed in the rice was not as good as I remembered, but the chicken hands down is the best around, KFC and Popeyes have nothing on this place plus the people who work here are personable & efficient, this place is a winner ?

Chicken is great! They need more locations, i highly recommend this place if your wanting to try new places. This one has a drive thru and lobby, the food is just amazing highly recommend the chicken chucks and spicy rice! Will be coming back.

Cashier didn't greet the friendliest. Cashier has worked here for over a year and didn't know the owners. Cashier didn't know white from dark meat. Cashier doesn't have the best grammar when speaking to the public. Food was alright. Nothing to write home about. Thought my wife and I would try it, and, oh well.

Chicken-n-Spice has never let me down. The food is very good, the prices are reasonable and we have never had a long wait for our food. We have gone out of our way to get there chicken.
