Even though sign on Sheep's District indicates it's there, the girl at cash register says it's not there anymore! She says sign on door window says that. But no mention of it so I tell her that and she says they haven't put it on there yet. But how is it that they are in the Taste of Orland and have these 5 or so evaluations on Yelp - are they bogus??? Something doesn't make sense! Also cloud of smoke in front of door because the outside patio is next to the entrance so you need to breathe all the smoke to get into Sheep's! And if any of the smokers have Covid and exhale it, everyone in the restaurant will have Covid now just going in and coming out. Too risky!!!

We went there today. 101 BBQ is definitely closed... What a shame. Excellent brisket & tasty side options......

Nice ambiance for dine in, and the food is good! Portions aren't huge but still pretty filling. I liked the pulled pork, elote, and mac and cheese.

Excellent BBQ! Didn't have 1 thing I didn't like! You must try if you are in the area. I would make the 60 minute drive to have it again!

Hands down the best brisket I've ever had! The Smokey flavor is just right. I've had it by the pound and as sliders both delish

The brisket was very good, but the sides were average. I prefer Doc's BBQ in Mokena.

Truly some delicious BBQ. Pork belly was to die for. Anyone going to the sheep district needs to try some of this.

The best brisket I've ever had. So tender and moist. The ribs are dry rubbed. Was never a fan of dry rub, until I tried these. Check this place out. You will not be disappointed. Dave the owner is a super guy!

I was on my way home with the wife from the Duluth trading store and we saw this place and thought we would try it. Awesome decision! The brisket (chopped) was juicy even though it seemed like a leaner section. There was no sauce on it that I could tell and the flavor was a perfect balance of seasoning and smoke. The pickles that came on the side rank up there with some of the best according to the wife. I also had a sausage link, mild, and it was beautifully flavored with the correct amount of salt and not overly full of caraway. The texture was also spot on for a tube meat. I can't comment to much on the sides as I only had the coleslaw and it was good but nothing special. Hard to mess up coleslaw but I would imagine the other sides are probably good if I judge them from the meat. Definitely will be back for the BBQ.

This was my request for birthday dinner! After trying their pulled pork sliders two weeks ago, I wanted to go back and try the rest of the menu! We got a little of everything and everything was INSANELY DELICIOUS. I’m not kidding when I say that either!! What you don’t see is the Mac n cheese because my 1.5 year old daughter claimed that and wouldn’t share for our photo! Local friends - you absolutely must try 101 BBQ!

Well, this visit was full of pleasant surprises. Not sure what I expected besides BBQ, but even that was surpassed by the craftsmanship behind their smoked meats! I literally couldn't select a favorite amongst the four meats I tried. Everything had an honest flavor as well as a true smoke ring and slightly sweet bark. Not one item was remotely dry or off-note! Hell, even the sides were a huge score and these guys def aren't hiding behind some pretentious sauce. It's just excellent food science! The venue concept is part cafeteria, part bar and it still felt comfortable to sit down and get table service...even for our 75yr old parents who frequent family restaurants. Everything was uniform enough to allow it all to gel. Dave and Keith sold out last night and came in at the crack of dawn to prep for Halloween Sunday, yet they looked as fresh as their food. And on a day best known for it's treats, this Halloween only had one trick... ...how to pick a favorite!?!
