The Blissful Banana Cafe is a wholesome establishment. There are a few vegan options to choose from, and the services were friendly as well as professional. The vegan cusines have suitable portion sizes, and the ingredients are fresh. The only challenge is that the vegan cusines are lacking flavor; the avocado and salsa helped with the flavor a bit. The vegan cuisines will need a little enhancement.
Update: Upon visiting again the second time, the vegan cuisines were spot on in flavor, and the services were welcoming and professional as the first visit. Compliments and praise to the chef on enhancing the vegan cusines flavor. This establishment is recommended to the vegan and vegetarian community.

I had a vegan egg omelet with vegetables, vegan cheese, hasbrowns and vegan toast and it was the best breakfast I've had in a long time.
My wife the Snarf breakfast and she and I thought it was ok. Too many chickpeas and not enough other tastes.
The coffee was no better than our hotel coffee, but my daughter got a Chai coffee that was pretty good.
Definitely the best place to get breakfast in South Chicago where our daughter's family lives, so we will be back.

The chai tea latte was delicious… the meat was very tender but a little too salty. Fries were good…! But a suggestion I would recommend to serve the food in plates that aren’t chipped. There is a fee charge if you pay with a credit card. Better if you pay in cash….

My husband and I walked here and were so happy we did. It was a beautiful morning so we sat outside. The portions are big and oh sooo good! We will definitely be back. Will be trying something different each time.

We had an amazing experience for our friend's birthday! Not only was the food incredible and mostly large portions, but our waitress brought a birthday treat everyone at our table could share, including the vegan in our party. She was extremely attentive even though we were sitting outside away from the main restaurant. Highly recommend this place and Stephanie!

We are fairly new to the area, and have absolutely fallen in love with Blissful Banana! Our daughter has an egg allergy, which makes finding options for a family breakfast/brunch a bit of a challenge. They have so many options for us! We all LOVED the vegan omelette, and the vegan pancake is a particular hit as well. The staff is always kind and courteous, and has always asked about food restrictions when we're getting seated, something that I've come to truly appreciate now. The portions are quite generous, and we typically take some of our meals home with us. The Gorilla Coffee is a decadent treat, we are not usually 'dressed up' coffee people, but we've ordered one almost every visit. I'm excited to try more of the lunch-oriented menu too in the future. Everything we've had here has been delicious, and I think this will be our go-to breakfast/brunch/lunch spot for our family for years to come.
