We got the queso fundido which was fantastic and we got the quesabirria pizza which was even better than I could have imagined. Service was fantastic, we were the only ones in the restaurant though. Price was very fair considering the amount of food we got.

I never do reviews but this was a very disappointing visit. The Mayan Palace used to be very affordable and we’d travel a ways just to go for special celebrations. New owners, new menus NEW prices that are ridiculous. We paid extra for steak enchiladas as their lunch special. Same for the steak burrito at about $20!! The steak was grisly and tough. The portions are smaller than before and definitely a no go to place from now on. The server was excellent but no attempt to make up for our disappointment in the steak. They did do some upgrades to the dining room so I guess they want a fast recoup of their investment.

Seasoning was lacking. The drinks were subpar. The most redeeming quality was the service which was fantastic, but not enough to make up for the lack of taste. Based on other reviews I decided to try this place: but unfortunately this was not what I expected. The drinks tasted like they used cocktail mixers super sweet and when you pay $18 dollars for a drink you hope it tastes better. Perhaps it was an off day or they had a different chef for the day. I will give this place another chance but not right now.

Soooo! I can actually say this place is very clean, but on the other hand, I don't like how the server was rude as we ordered. As we were ordering, he was very dismissive and not engaged. Also, I noticed a white family, and they were more pleasant to them. I'm not saying this place is racist, but I did notice the difference in interaction, but we didn't let that kill our vibe.
Overall, the food was food. I just wish we had a better server.
