Da only one I come too they got it
On September 20, 2025, my daughter and I went there for lunch, we ordered the Lollipop Lamps. I ordered that particular meal because I had it the first time I went there and it great, WOW was I disappointed. It took over 25 minutes to get the food then it was cold and to top it off the person over charged us. I called several times trying to reach someone that same evening, I was the woman that waited on us had left. I tried calling several times no one got back k to me. I will never go there again and if asked about that I will express same, pissed.!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant and when we walked in Darci promptly greeted us with upbeat positive vibes. She asked us how were we doing and gave suggestions on what we could order. Her customer service alone definitely aided in my decision to return. The food was great! I had Chicken Alfredo and my Sister had the ribs she said they were nice and tender and flavorful.

I am both saddened and disappointed by my recent experience at S2 Grill – Orland Park. I had a lunch date with my daughter, and we traveled from downtown Chicago specifically to support this business. Unfortunately, this was my first, last, and only visit — one and done.
I was charged an 18% “large group” fee for a party of two, as well as a 3% credit card usage fee, despite the restaurant not accepting cash. When I asked about the 18% charge, I was told it was an automatic gratuity for “dining in,” and the cashier pointed to a framed sign placed off to the side of the counter stating their policy. This sign listed several bullet points, and the dining-in fee was buried third or fourth on the list, not prominently displayed.
I ordered at the counter — not at a table — and was simply asked if my order was for here or to go. Although I said “for here,” no one informed me verbally that an 18% gratuity would be automatically added for dinning in. While the owner has every right to run their business as they choose, the lack of integrity, transparency, and basic courtesy was disappointing. The entire situation felt somewhat deceptive.
Suggestions:
1. Clearly inform customers verbally about the dining-in fee.
2. Correct the wording on the receipt — labeling an 18% charge for two people as a “large group” is misleading.
3. If an 18% fee is going to be charged, the service should reflect it. We were never offered menus, never asked if we had questions, ordered at the counter, and even had to go to the counter to ask for a carry-out container.
I cannot objectively comment on the quality of the food because the unexpected charges overshadowed the experience and prevented me from enjoying my meal.
Came in to place a catering order, and Shawn was amazing! Good location!

The food itself is priced fairly and actually tastes good, but the overall experience is overshadowed by all the hidden fees this place sneakily adds on — it honestly feels like dealing with a cell phone company.
When the check came, we noticed a 15% gratuity automatically added for just two people. I could understand if we had a large group or a party of four or more, but charging that for a table of two is unbelievable.
Then it gets worse: they stack on a 3% service charge and another 3% credit card fee. By the time you get to the bottom of the bill, you’re paying way more than the menu led you to believe.
What makes it even more frustrating is that there’s no transparency upfront — no heads-up, no explanation. And honestly, if you’re going to tack on all these fees, the bare minimum would be a friendly attitude, but even that was lacking.
Bottom line: the food might be good, but check your receipt carefully before you pay. You’ve been warned.

Everything was cooked to excellent perfection! The salmon was so delicious with a wonderful slightly blackened flavor & cooked to the perfect temperature! Absolutely loved the green beans! Be forewarned they are spicy! They were so delicious and tender! The asparagus was perfectly cooked, too! Great portion sizes, not too big, but not too small! Super soft and perfectly buttered bread accompanied this not-to-miss dinner! Love the vibe here, too! Great taste in music to listen to while dining! Will definitely return!!!!

This was our first time dining at an S2 Grill. We Were at the Orland, IL location. Food delicious. I had the catfish, hand cut fries and broccoli with cheese! My husband had the rib tips and chicken, Mac n cheese and the dirty rice . All was delicious. I recommend this restaurant. The customer service was on point and our server was very personable and helpful.

NEVER will I return to this establishment. I ordered my son food online through “chownow”. Get to the restaurant & apparently they never received my order. I called “chownow” they claimed that S2 Grill has to accept the order & I wanted my money back she said if it’s not accepted in 15mins my money will be returned. “Darcy” or whatever that manager name is claimed they’ve been getting orders all day through them but never received mine. Terrible customer service and no support cause I never got food or my money back. I placed my order about 45mins ago. I’ll never do business with this place again. The screenshot below has been on the same screen since then.
Food is usually good. Buffalo rolls are dry. They've started automatically charging gratuity if dinning in. After the service charging, gratuity and tax it's a bit expensive to not be upscale dinning. They have glass plates, napkins and silverware but give you plastic cups and packets of condiments.

I got the baked potato and tacos. The baked potatoe didn't even have real bacon, the taste you can tell it was bacon bits you buy in a can. 😅 Nasty. And the tacos are so small it's not even funny. Taste is off too. Sorry for being rude but, man I tried the one in Chicago and thought this one would be as good. Boy, I was wrong go to the one downtown if you want a good S2 meal.
