My fiancé and I were at this location last night (1/3/23) because we happened to be in the area, so I wanted to stop in. I’ve never been to another Von Maur besides Yorktown! The store itself is very grand and stately, and I love the super bright lighting! You can tell this is a newer, updated store. It sparkles!When we got to the juniors department, the young lady there was having a *very* loud conversation on her Apple Watch where she was arguing with whoever it was before abruptly ending her call and offering us help. This is not a very professional image! Then we walked next to the men’s shoe department on the way out, and the gentleman in that department was sitting down on the job, hunched over his phone!Lovely store, but no customer wants to feel ignored.

I was in Von Maur on December 30th at the Orland park location. I was in fragrance with my family and overheard one of the associates tell her coworker to "watch them" the associate walks over and ask if we need any help. I tell her no but then proceeded to ask her about a fragrance. Then I asked her did she just tell you to watch us ? She looked at me dropped her head and said "yes" and started to apologize to me and my family. I told her no need to apologize, it's not your fault. She just confirmed what I heard. I then walk up to the associate that made the comment and asked her what her name was. She said "Connie" I said well Connie why did you tell your associate to watch us? She said no I would never say anything like that. I said Connie I heard you. She repeats no I would never say anything like that. A co worker she was standing next to also said "no she would never say anything like that ". I reported her to her manager. Who apologized and said that this type of behavior is not tolerated in there store. I do shop at Von Maur but I'll never shop there again after the treatment my family and I received.

EXCELLENT SERVICE,,, BETH, took care of me in the woman perfume area, she was so patient with me answering all my questions and helping me find the right selection of perfume for a special Xmas present,, it's a employee like BETH that makes shopping at VON MAUR so pleasant for all of their customers,,, going beyond customer service and dedication to the job,,,

Free gift wrapping, free ship to anyone in the continental USA. Amazing experience every time. Someone is always playing a grand piano near the escalator?! Free tailoring with suit purchase!! We love this place. Stop in for an old school personal experience that will have you coming back in for yourself and for gifts.
