Can’t say enough about this establishment. Visiting friends and they told me about this incredible wine bar. The minute you walk in this place you are welcomed. The owner and his son are knowledgeable and friendly. Made me feel right at home. And the drinks…awesome!

The managers may want to make sure their bartenders actually understand the Bassett. Someone there clearly doesn’t get the process of how to handle overly intoxicated customers. Cut them off! It’s not lawful to continue serving customers alcohol if they appear too drunk to drive. The owner is also really good at making excuses. Instead of cutting off the customers, they waited until they left and called the cops. I have it on good authority that the officer who spoke with the worker has footage.

This establishment is also extremely welcoming and inclusive to everyone and its owners do a lot for this community!

Best place to grab drinks in central Illinois. The only other place you’ll get cocktails like this is in Chicago. Menu changes with the seasons so they always have something new for you to try. Great atmosphere and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you come to Ottawa and don’t stop here what are you doing?

If your from out of town stay clear of this place! They call the police on customers to set them up for arrest! They also are known for calling the police on the homeless men that are outside the establishment. If I could rate this place 0 stars I would! BE WARNED ⚠️
