The food was decent, but the service was very disappointing. We ordered the ribeye steak, but the kitchen made the “special of the day” instead, a New York strip, which is a completely different cut of meat. We were never told about a special, and when we asked, the server said it was posted at the front door. However, we came in through the back entrance, so we never saw it and no one mentioned it to us.
There was no apology for the mix-up. The server just asked if we were okay with what the chef made, rather than offering to fix the mistake. On top of that, the steak wasn’t cooked the way we ordered it. When we pointed that out, she didn’t respond, just walked away.
We were still charged for the ribeye, and the only reason we received a discount was because the steak was improperly cooked, not because they gave us the wrong meal. The lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism really overshadowed the meal.
Corner 612 is a very cute place to go for dinner. It would be a nice place to go on a date or just to hang out with friends. They have a beautiful bar and the drinks are fantastic. The food is good and there’s a nice variety. The service is excellent.
Wife and I went on a Wednesday night since we had a rare night with no kids at the last minute. I’d heard good things around town and now I know why. It hit all the right notes. Contemporary style, welcoming and knowledgeable staff and excellent food. 612 Bowie Pasta for me, Caprese Salad with Chicken for the wife and Bruschetta as an appetizer. We should’ve had leftovers with the generous portions, but it was just too good to stop eating! Highly recommended!
Tonight was our first time in. The food was absolutely fantastic and our server, Mackenzie, was fabulous! We're coming back next Friday to try something else!
Great experience, great food, great bartenders and great experience, overall! We will be back!
Loved everything about this place except the decibel level. Food was excellent large portions good prices.
Had a night out with friends had a great time except having to repeat ourselves to each several times. Even the server didn't hear my friends drink order correctly. Background music shouldn't be at night club levels.
Ordered Chicken Piccata on my way home from work tonight. SOOOO GOOD. 10/10 recommend. Already have my eye on a couple other dishes I’m wanting to try, if I can convince myself to stray from the piccata.
Fantastic food and delicious drink menu. Lots to choose from! I'm not a huge salad fan but the pear salad was outstanding! Love the goat cheese balls too!
Walked in without a reservation on NYE and was graciously seated at the bar. Quiet enough to easily make conversation. Service was exceptional, prompt and courteous. Food was amazing (I’m enjoying leftovers now), had the bow tie pasta with sausage & mushrooms, toasted ravioli for appetizer and Chianti to drink. Modern decor, easy parking/access.
A few months ago some friends from out of state and I thought we'd start with drinks here and then eat at another place we agreed on earlier. But after the staff, Tasia at the bar, and Riley were so friendly and knowledgeable we decided to take a look at the menu, get apps, and put in our dinner order. While waiting we had another drink, I'll definitely be having the Spicy Blackberry Margarita again. Riley seated us in the dining area which featured a full wall video projection of a live feed of the Rialto Bridge in Venice, Italy. We saw people in real-time riding in gondolas, this moment from 4,500 miles away was the extra Parmesan on the pasta, eating Italian food while essentially looking out the window at Venice. It seems trivial but this extra touch made our dining experience something we told friends about, texting photos to them.
Two weeks ago we got together there again, enjoyed the drinks, apps, dinner, and talking with Tasia, Riley, Katie, and Leah, all top notch staff. What was missing this visit though was the live-feed, which is why I didn't give 5 stars to Atmosphere. Instead it was replaced by a dull travelogue, moving wallpaper of the Alps, ski slopes, etc, still it was in Italy, but the shared time experience was missing. Certainly the reason to dine there, food, service, etc, remained but that small additional feature for us was the elusive tipping point that had elevated Corner 612. Maybe next time we go we'll put in an order for a gondola as well.

Love Corner 612! My sister and I have dinner together every 2 weeks and more often than not, we go to Corner 612. Great food. Great service (we love Kate!). Great time.
I live in Iowa and my brother lives in Ottawa. Every time I visit I have to eat here. Absolutely the best Italian food I've ever had. The Chicken Picada is really good and I tried the Black and Blue Pasta last night. For my review I'm going to give you rating scale in terms of leftovers.
1. The food wasn't good so you just left the left overs.
2. You take the leftovers home and you forget about it.
3. You take the leftovers home and eat them I a day or two.
4. You take the leftovers home. You wake up in the middle or the night and you get up and eat the rest.
The portion sizes are really big. So you can't eat it all. This restaurant is Left Over Scale 4+
Highly highly highly recommend.
Corner 612 was an unexpected treat! The atmosphere, food, and mixed drinks really were above and beyond. The customer service was friendly, quick, and professional. Great place for a date night or even a family dinner! I will be returning soon A+
Nice meal. Wished they had veal. Great attention by our server. A little loud but fun. I will go back.
