We had a New York Strip that was so chewy, one of the toughest steaks I've had.

I’m super upset that they took my favorite meal off the menu which includes the SWEET POTATO!!!! The hamburger steak with grilled onion, sweet potato and steamed broccoli😔😱

Service was great. Biscuits were good. Gravy was ok. Just bland. Otherwise, a good experience.

Update 2/8/24: old timers breakfast was overall good. Hash brown casserole was good. Sausage was not good. Servers were friendly.

We went to the Ottawa IL one last Saturday around 11.15 am.. sat down right away and ordered our food.. and waited and waited.. took 55 mins to get our food. My steak was warm only and my wife had pancakes. My wife took a bite and said it's all raw not cook. The batter was dripping from her pancakes.. we complained but my wife ate a little and got sick about 2 hrs later..I never will go back to that location again..

Not very busy, service very slow . Took 20 minutes to even give drink order. Certainly expected better service and at least hot food for over $50.

Our food was cold, the meatloaf was terrible, the fish cold, they forgot some of our food and we ordered corn muffins and got one and the rest were biscuits, when I asked why, our waitress said they ran out. The manager came out we told him. What was wrong g with all of it. He said sorry and grabbed the meatloaf plate. A few minutes he returned with another bad meatloaf never brought the missing food, nor did he offer to take a meal off or free dessert. When I brought it up to the waitress she said she would let the manager know. Ten minutes later and I had to ask him myself. Overall it was terrible

So not only has the fried chicken strip meal gone up a few dollars in the last year. It's no longer a chicken strip meal it's now a chicken dipper meal. So instead of 6 full strips it's 6 tiny half strips for more money.

Also $17 for a chicken sandwich with a slice of cheese and bacon is insane. Not to mention quality of the chicken dropped substantially.

Place used to be a good deal but after the last visit not so much.

Waited a long time for food to come. Ordered chicken & dumpling soup before the meal and had to remind the waitress for our soup after a long wait. When they brought our meals my wife ordered the house salad topped with fried chicken and when delivered there was no chicken. Meals tasted very good!

My friend who was in town visiting from AZ, myself and my 4 kids came here to have lunch on Saturday. My friend went up to the front and asked if we could put our name down on the list to be seated. She was holding my two month old daughter and MARY proceeds to tell her “first of all, this isn’t where you go to do that. And second of all don’t you know it’s unsafe to put a baby in a car seat while they’re wearing that?” (Talking about my baby’s jacket) you won’t catch me and my family here again. Talk about an embarrassing impression for an out of town visitor. And if someone could tell MARY to keep her outdated unsolicited advice to herself if she plans to continue on in a customer service position.

Staff were nice but seemed to be rushing entirely too much. Forgetting things on orders, putting orders in wrong, ran off from the table before all requests were made. The food was just okay. Not as good as it usually is. Did not like this experience at all this time around.
