Although this restaurant always has diners, I didn't want to go. But during homecoming, all the fine restaurants had over an hour wait and my friend and I had already planned a dinner together, so this is where we landed. I like that they had cactus on the menu and the server was very nice. If I were planning for Mexican in the area, I would still drive to Jalapeños in Peru, but El jinete was not a bad experience in any way whatsoever. I just do not value portion sizes over...
We were impressed with the large selection on the menu. Price as very reasonable. Large portionsEach of our meals, were delicious. Chips and Salsa complimentary. Service fast and efficient.
What we got was not good. It was a steak burrito whit cheese and sauce over the top. It was a cold burrito sitting in an inch of redish liquid. Maybe the cheese melted or something. But the steak was in strips. There weren't many pieces of steak, but when you would run into a strip it was chewy. We'll try them again in hopes this was just a bad day.
