Tangled Roots Brewing Company

I went to Tangled Roots and had Juliet as my server and was very satisfied with the food and service. The food and and drinks were perfect and very tasty. 10/10 Recommend will definitely be back.

Esther at the south barrington location was phenomenal. The chicken parmesan was delicious and the cookie skillet was amazing

We like to sit outside here with our dog, he loves it. Tater tots are the best! Service is always great. Nice downtown location.

When we had a schedule a family event at The Lone Buffalo in Ottawa on a very short turn around, Janet and her team made everything so easy. Before the event, Janet made sure all the boxes were checked. Communication via email and phone was seamless. During event, Janet was there to welcome us and make sure everything was set up as we had discussed. During the event, the staff were very attentive and helpful. Everyone had a great time and memories were made. Highly recommend hosting event with Tangled Roots Brewing Company!

My husband and I are on our honeymoon, staying at the Getaway House site close by. We have been here 2 nights in a row because the food is so phenomenal (literally everything single thing has been great) and the service has been fantastic. They really accommodate and have great recommendations. The beer flights are great - We got one to share our first night, and ended up getting a second because the serving size was perfect for trying multiple options. We might even be back again before our 4 night trip is over! We've even talked about planning future trips just to come back!

10/10 in hospitality. If I could give more then 5 stars I would and I am a HARSH critic. They went above and beyond for us. We gave them complicated orders, and they apologized for making it complicated. It was our honeymoon and we were given free dessert. I was also given a free beer for my own confusion. The food is out of this world. And the craft beer is un matched. I've been to almost every brewery in chicago and this place is the icing on the cake

We’ve been to Tangled Roots in Ottawa before but this visit the food was not good. Especially for the price. My bro ordered Chicken Snitziel. It came out like a frisbee. The dried up chicken was flattened to 1/8 inch encapsulated in burnt bread crumbs. I had the cod dinner. That’s all you got. A piece of breaded cod over 3 skinny asparagus. Sis had Fish n Chips. It was the same breaded cod with fries. I ate the cod dinner but was still hungry so I ordered the chocolate peanut butter cake for desert. It was so small it looked like a mini marshmallow s’mores and cost $13! Unbelievable!

First off, I came there for a remembrance dinner from the Grundy County 55-year-old woman that was stabbed to death in my building. I was taking out her daughter for dinner second of all the waitress they came to my table had a very disrespectful attitude didn’t give us silverware nothing of the sorts when we first arrived we then asked for our drinks we received a Dr Pepper that had no CO2 when the waitress came back we told her there’s no CO2 and then she said I know so as she said my friend well if you know then, why did you give it to me? she goes well I didn’t know the Dr Pepper was like there. I haven’t drink it. Well you just said you knew the CO2 so as she did brought us a new drink that was also without CO2 after getting the drinks, we then apologized for us asking for different drinks because we didn’t want to come off rude because we are emotional due to our family death. She made it all about her again. yeah, so then we put our orders in mind you we showed up at nine it closes at 11. We called ahead and asked them when the kitchen closed , and then our food came. All the meat was dry. Grains were not done the schnitzel tasted like dog food. the waitress was very rude when we told her what we were therefore she disregarded what we were therefore and said oh yeah the lady that just got blah blah blah I’m not gonna put her business out there like that, but she made our situation completely her situation so then when my friend went to go talk to the owner or othe manager or whoever he was, he was very rude. He did comp the whole meal, but we were trying to pay for the parts that we did like which was the chili so I’m just warning you guys the meat is dry. The atmosphere is nice lighting, but the servers are rude. We were getting dirty Looks all over and because we come in at the end of the shift but open two more hours .

Don’t go into customer service if you can’t u defeated humans

Our server was rushing us the whole time because her shift was ending but didn’t say anything to us. The chef’s special that I ordered was expensive for the amount of food that was given.

We came in at 3 in the afternoon just to have a beer in the taproom, maybe 12 people total were in there at the time. The lady working abruptly told us before we got half way in we needed to see the hostess to be sat. For a beer??? Some people at the bar moved over so we could fit at the bar and 30 minutes later I had a beer next to a cleaning bucket with a rag hanging out of it. The bartender was frazzled and not friendly.

This company hires people and then ghosts them. They like to play with peoples lives!

Came for a weekend trip to Starved Rock and this place was a highlight. 10/10 couldn’t recommend enough!

Excellent brewery and restaurant in a terrific space, with excellent service and even--surprise!--great cocktails. Was very impressed with the overall quality and will definitely be back.
