We have been to The Beach House a couple of times and the staff is great. Food is great, but our last visit we were very disappointed that dessert was served next door. We enjoyed a great meal, but we didn't want to have to walk next door to enjoy dessert. Very disappointed in this change. This is an upscale pricey restaurant, and I do not think serving dessert in the next building was a good change.

Four of us had dinner here last night for the first time. Food & drinks were great! Emily our waitress was wonderful and fun, very friendly manager as well. Can’t wait to go back for the Mardi Gras Sundays!

Place has killer food, went with a party of 3. Got a lobster tail with was super good, cooked perfectly and there steak is to die for. Prices are very cheap and a good place to eat if you dine fancy

Nice place in the heart of Ottawa. The meal was good. My hubby enjoyed his, mine was a bit salty. The waitress must have had too many tables as she forgot to bring us water for most of the meal. Will be back to try again.

We visited from Chicago. We eat at high end restaurants in many cities. I’d eat at this place no matter where it was. Nothing is bad in the menu. You always sacrifice wine selection in these small towns but I couldn’t have been more pleased and delighted with the actual quality and flavor of the food itself. Bravo.

Dined on a lively Saturday night with our 15 month old. The host, owner, and our server couldn’t have been nicer! Ordered the crab cake appetizer, red trout, and strawberry cheesecake gelato. All were fantastic! Such a gem of a restaurant.

Had dinner tonight Calamari was good but the portion was small Served with a tiny cup of sauce Which was not enough Asked for another sauce ( which was totally different from the first, much spicier) $16 for the calamari, and then charged $.75 for the additional sauce, “tacky” ) Lump crab meat main course The taste was good, but so much filler And no lump chunks. Just shredded crab Doubt it was lump crab meat Have eaten crab cakes back east many times and these were weak And although the waitress knew their water Was terrible they served it anyway So we purchased bottled water

I made the reservation for 50th anniversary. The materdee congratulated us. Our appetizers oysters and lobster rolls delicious. Our main entreas while good portions were terribly salty. At any other dinner years past some type of recognition of an anniversary was given. Even merely a simple greeting by a manager. Restaurants in Rockford presented free dessert. For the $$$$ fresh seafood ok preparation not great.
