Went there for the first time. The bartender was absolutely disgusting. She was racist, out right talking about Hispanic people and how much she “hates them”. Super unprofessional. And it’s sad because it’s a cute place but I’ll never ever be coming back. Hope you get fired.

If I could rate zero stars I would. My younger sister was here last night and she called me this morning to tell me that she had a racist encounter with the bartenders (all women) who worked last night. My sister told me that when she arrived she saw two Hispanic men playing pool outside and playing music off of their phones. She said when she entered the bar. The bartenders were talking s*** about Hispanic people. Talking about how all Hispanic people are broke, speak broken English and they "can't understand them" and how they shouldn't be in this country because they can't speak properly. And also that they don't know how to tip, so the bartenders looked up "tip your severs" in Spanish and wrote it on the walls. They were also commenting on their Spanish music saying "nobody wants to hear this s***** SO WHAT . People are allowed to play their music freely. Regardless of the language it is in. And if this offends you then you need to get over it. This is sickening. We all have to deal with your country music all of the time and if you justify that then this can be justified. 1.) yes, this is United States aka the land of immigrants. This country was intended for people of all nationalities and religions to be able to live freely. THAT IS AMERICA and anyone who thinks differently is the one who should leave. 2.) English is the hardest language to learn. People who come here from another country make an effort to learn the language and just because it sounds "broken" doesn't mean they can't understand you and doesn't mean anyone has the right to comment on it. How about you native English speakers try learning any other language and imagine getting ridiculed by those people for your effort because it sounds broken. 3.) America is the only country that tips any kind of server , yes even waiters & waitresses. Look it up!! A lot of people are not used to America's tipping customs and that's perfectly ok. I'm making sure everyone knows. The bartenders at Zellers are ignorant close minded racists.

Hello world. I saw so many atrocious reviews from years past so my friend and I had to check it out because we love risks. We were super impressed. This Friday night bartender is super cool, her name is Arianna. Big fan. Super cool historic architecture. Vibes are good! 10/10. Come on down!
Service is great, cordial and speedy, atmosphere is great as it's an old building and they even offer succinct cards of the history of the building. However if you came for the chairs, the chairs are horrible. The one I claimed wouldn't turn left. It would spin right but not left. I recommend this place to anyone who likes speedy drinks, a staff that interacts with you, and an atmosphere with a rich history. However if you came for the chairs like me, it may leave you dissapointed. Overall great place will come back for a different chair.

I love the antique vibe you get when you walk through the door. A little bummed they didn't carry cider boys but I'll never turn down some crisp refreshing Busch lattes. The indoor/outdoor bar area is pretty sweet. 2 pools tables, darts, and enough seating to gather the crew for a real good time. Plus they have an extra out door seating area. I'm sure I'll be here many times in the near future

Love this place!! It's really a nice piece of Illinois history. Staff is always friendly. The inside is a sight to be seen. If you're visiting Ottawa come check it out.
