The brisket was the best part; then the pudding bread, rib tip Mac & cheese and Sausage. The sticky sprouts are the cherry on top. I saved the 3 pcs of Pig Candy for when I get home.

I have to say, hands down this is some of the best barbecue within the Chicagoland area! This was my 1st visit and I was blown away. Thanks to the staff for being responsive and providing great customer service! I’ll be back soon!

Chicago Culinary Kitchen in Palatine? Yes, please! Great appetizers, a killer smoked meat burrito, and awesome service. Loved it!

What a great find thanks to WGN Around Town. Met the nicest bartender and enjoyed the great craft drinks. The food was out of this world and we will definitely be back! Can’t wait to order a whole pig for our Oktoberfest. This is a definite must stop for some great BBQ

Everything here is delicious but the pastrami is next level. You won’t find anything like it. We recently saw them at Frontier Days in Arlington Heights and I had the New Yorka and pit beans and it was the dream meal for a pregnant woman. The owners are so friendly as well.

Always phenomenal bbq and ambiance! The owners are fantastic and always appreciate their customers. Have tried everything on the menu several times and have yet to have something I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. If you get the chance definitely attend one of their beer/bourbon/bbq dinners..super fun and delicious experience!

We were looking for a new BBQ spot. After reading the reviews this place sounded great. We enjoy loud metal. It wasn't that loud and just mostly classic rock. I ordered the 1/2 lb brisket, my wife got the St Louis ribs. Also got Street Corn and Cornbread. Didn't take long but our order wasn't hot in fact barely warm. BBQ needs to be HOT. My brisket had huge chunks of fat that made it more like 1/3 pound. The actual meat of the brisket was quite good. My wife's ribs were fatty too, but she liked them overall. But again, they were far from hot temperature. The street corn also was luke warm at best and had a strange aftertaste. The cornbread, while decent would be better served warm so butter can melt. It was cool and somewhat dry and overpriced for the piece you get. Most BBQ joints includes cornbread, The available sauces which I like on BBQ were just ok. In any case, we were very disappointed and won't be returning.

Unique dining and eating experience. Food was great, fast, looked great. Family style sides. Large portions. We had brisket, El Hefe, Buffalo Chicken, pulled pork, fries, Mac n cheese, street corn. All was tasty. Street corn was a bit vinegary? Large drunk selection. Can’t wait to go back and try all different things. Menu changes too. Great vibe. Friendly people. Loud music, lights, and fun decor to look at. Great vibe!

When I read that Chicago Culinary Kitchen in Palatine had been ranked as the No. 1 restaurant in Chicago's suburbs according to one survey and the No. 1 barbecue restaurant in Illinois according to another survey...well, my wife and I had to see (and taste) for ourselves. Located at 2391 North Hicks Road in the northwest suburb, at Lake Cook Road and Highway 53 or North Hicks Road, this funky Texas-style barbecue restaurant specializes in brisket, pulled pork and St. Louis spare ribs, smoked in old hickory smokers with kiln-dried cherrywood. Texas-style. All under the expert direction of owners Kristina and Greg Gaardbo. Open from 11 to 6:30 Wednesday and Thursday, 11 to 9 on Friday and Saturday and 11 to 7 on Sunday, Chicago Culinary Kitchen also offers Miller Family Amish chicken, Mikeska sausage, Giant Certified Angus beef short ribs, Mexican Street corn and Betty F 'n Rucker's Giant Golden Cornbread Muffin. Yes, barbecue is becoming more and more popular in the Chicago area. My wife sampled a half-pound of pulled pork with a cornbread muffin and a portion of 18-hour pit beans. I couldn't resist a full rack of St. Louis spare ribs and BBQ sauce with French fries and bread pudding with fireball caramel sauce. Have you noticed that St. Louis-style ribs have become the rage in barbecue, more popular than the more celebrated versions in Memphis, Kansas City and Austin? Sample the ribs at Chicago Culinary Kitchen and cast your own vote.

Great barbecue, some of the best I’ve ever had in Chicagoland. I had the beef brisket, pulled pork, and Texas sausage links along with F’N Mac & Cheese and corn muffins. Everything excellent!

Unique atmosphere with attitude. We ordered rib tips; bbq sauce great flavor but we found these overly fatty so not enough meat. The side dishes were tasty. I’d go again but definitely order a different main dish

Great new location of Lake Cook Rd and Hicks. Lovely smells waiting in the queue for the cue. Full bar and great decor in this much larger space.

Fantastic place! We decided to stop in and try it mainly because of the signage and it did not disappoint. At first glance it looked a bit like a dive bar until we went in. The decor while hip, was cool and relaxed. We were greeted almost immediately and the process of ordering was patiently explained to us. This is a place to settle in and relax. Just come as you are. Highlights of the menu include Mexican coke, strong margaritas, huge angus beef burgers, Amish chicken, and decent bbq. Anyone who have read my other reviews know what a big deal that last sentence is for me. One of the things I also appreciated was that the bbq is served with the sauce on the side instead of saturated on the meat. I did notice some knife marks in the pulled pork but not many and still had good texture. Definitely a place to go but leave any attitude at the door.
