My family ate here today after a soccer game and it was the perfect spot to grab some quick food. They have a lot of items on their menu, and everything we got was great: chicken pita, gyro, burgers, chicken fingers and soup. The portions are large and you get your money's worth here. The owner was extremely friendly and you can tell he takes pride in his restaurant. We will be back!

Gyros sandwich was tough, char burned(?!) and did not taste fresh off skewer at all. Plus tomatoes/onions were dripping with water-likely old sitting in a container for who knows how long. Pita was soggy and gyros sauce was not homemade-no taste/likely store bought. Lastly, got me sick and will never return. Tons of better options for Greek food nearby. Response-my family didn’t eat food until we got home. Food was not fresh or you had incompetent workers that didn’t follow your instructions..either way please make your restaurant better. No ill will here -was just a poor fast food experience.

I've always liked this place in the past but it's not as good as it used to be. I had a Gyros plate with salad and fries. The Gyros lacked flavor and were a bit dry. The tzatziki sauce was mild and not distinctive. The fries were good. The salad was fresh and good but the dressing was extremely salty. I paid extra for sauce and received a couple tablespoons of it in a smaller cup than came with my plate.
UPDATE: I gave an honest review for the food I received from this restaurant. It was not a delicious meal. The owner complains that I didn't talk to him first before giving him a review on Google. My order was takeout. I live 8 mi from Chiggy's. The food should always be good regardless. I shouldn't need to drive back to speak with the manager to fix a wrong. I was charged $0.80 for extra sauce and given two Tbsp in a cup. My sandwich came with a larger portion. The Gyros meat was dry and not tasty. I like to buy meals that taste good.

Chiggy's is one of my favorite places in Palatine. They remember their regulars and warmly welcome new diners. Big portions, quality ingredients, and respectful, playful staff. I recommend the Greek chicken pita, the gyro, and the Palatine sandwich. That said, everything they serve is great.

I’ve dined in here and thought it was pretty good. I’m writing this review in support to the restaurant since I saw 3 reviews from individuals that gave bad reviews solely because they didn’t get a there item sold. Unbelievable that google allows this to still be there. Hopefully google allows those reviews to be taken down. What a shame reviews like that can negatively affect small businesses.

Cafe style set up. Chicago teams decorate the walls along with local little league sports teams. Low wait time when orders were going out one after another. Great Gyros meat sauce and pitas. Gonna be back next time I'm in the area. Gotta try that rueben?
