live just down the street from Lamp Lighters, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite local spots. The food is always excellent—fresh, flavorful, and consistently satisfying no matter what you order. The atmosphere feels friendly and comfortable, like a true neighborhood gem.
A special mention goes to Amber, who’s not only incredibly attentive and professional but also genuinely kind and welcoming every time I stop in. She makes the experience even better with her great energy and warm personality.
If you’re in Palatine and haven’t been to Lamp Lighters yet, you’re missing out on one of the best local places around!

I frequent in the morning. Two barmaids are outstanding. One is the worst I have ever encountered. Inattentive. Rude. Nasty. Avoid on Tuesday and Friday.

Bartenders have attitudes. They make the drinks however they want and don’t follow customer requests. Literally every drink I had was awful!!!!

As first timer it may seem cool, after a while it gets old… it’s a hole in the wall that’s falling apart. Last year to now u can tell it won’t be around 5 years from now. Not the way it’s going.. cheap drinks, ok staff (depends on days) beer lines are gross as there is 5 pounds of mold on them, but u can almost drink for free here!!!
