It used to be delicious before the expansion, but now everything feels overly complicated. The service staff come across as quite pushy, giving the impression that you should hurry up and eat. The curry tasted watered down, and with so many items added to the menu, it’s hard to tell whether this place is supposed to be a sushi restaurant or a ramen shop anymore.

Ordered carry-out from the Vernon Hills location and loved it! Fantastic quality ramen, flavorful broth and still hot after getting it home. Miso Ramen and Taiwan Ramen are fantastic, but beware that single pepper icon, because it’s no joke! (And I say this as someone who grew up eating spicy food 🙂) Delicious, but intense! I would LOVE to see a milder version of the Taiwan Ramen (or at least a way to adjust the heat, like the Spicy Miso), because the flavor was truly amazing and addictive.

The atmosphere in this plase is very pleasant. very clean place. Tonkotsu ramen was very tasty and rich!! My recommendation!
I honestly don’t have many complaints. Service was very good, we came closer to 8 pm so the restaurant was not packed. The server checked up on us often. We decided to go with a couple of the specials on the board. We ordered tako karaage, special tonkotsu ramen, and gomoku ramen. I decided to add in extra protein in mine (gomoku ramen). I added extra tamago and cha siu. Prices were reasonable for the portions we received. I also want to add that the hours on Yelp are wrong. They are only closed on Mondays. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the same time as the other days.
-tako karaage 5 - deep fried octopus. I recommend trying this if you need a chance of pace from ordering gyoza, takoyaki, or karaage. The portion was just right and it had good size octopus. It had a nice crunch and I really liked the texture of the octopus. It wasn’t overcooked. -Gomoku ramen with extra protein 4.5 - tamago had a nice yellow-orangish hue yolk. Cha siu was easy to tear apart with your teeth and had good flavor. It was slightly dry. Ramen had a good amount of veggies. Noodles had some chew. Broth is similar to shoyu. Not too salty. There are also small pieces of pork.

The best “go to “ place- When you want something flavorful-or spicy or even better Something ( garlicky ???) Never have been disappointed- Always puts me into a “food Coma” I can’t wait for cooler temps—- o my because when it is Sweltering— a bowl of temperature hot noodles- and spicy hot flavor- Perfect for a fall or winter lunch or dinner.
The spicy Taiwan ramen is solid. Not a typical ramen by my standards. The crumbled pork is Smokey and it adds a diff taste than what I’d expect from “regular” ramen. It’s a departure from the norm. Highly recommended.
