Ownership changed. Ordered food from their chicken kabob and naan were frozen that were warmed and packed. Ridiculous how people run businesses never going back again.

This is no longer Shan's grill. My husband and I used to love this place, but something major changed. The worst Indian food we have ever had. Partially cooked lentils, no sauce in the chicken tikka masala topped with uncooked onions, and the most chewy overcooked chicken ever. Our biryani had 3 random pieces of chicken that were mostly bones. If you like Aloo Gobi, that was the only dish somewhat tasty. We will not be returning to Shahi Zaiga.

Yes there are new owners and it’s a new restaurant now BUT they definetly give you a taste of home. The owners were so nice to us and it’s family run. I think this will be a new up and coming hole in the wall spot very soon! They treated us like family and made sure we were well fed. The service is still being worked on. This is all new to them DONT be afraid to ask for more sides/sauces/veggies etc. they’re not mean about it or stingray at all. I can’t wait to come back in a couple weeks and see the new stuff they do!

We just threw the food away. 47$ straight to the garbage. So sad. Completely inedible. We always order Indian food especially from Flambe India, or Marigold so we tried this place because they were open at the time instead of waiting until 5pm for the other places, and what a horrible choice. Our chicken tikka masala looked and tasted curdeld. The butter chicken looked disgusting and dry. Never again.

Shan's Grill is replaced by Shahi Zaika. New owner, mgmt and chef. It's a shame that new guys think what they serve is IndoPak cuisine. Recent other reviews in past 4 weeks are testament to the substandard food quality which was inedible and was consigned to the compost.

Friendly staff, subpar food qualityChicken Seek Kebab - Dry. For it being an Entree, it didn’t even come with rice/any sides.Chicken Tikka Masala - The sauce was good, however the chicken was dry as well.Naan Bread - This was the one item that was actually good.

This is not the same restaurant as before, this is run by new people now. Horrible food, please don’t waste your money. The chicken seekh kebab was disgusting as you can see from the picture.

PLEASE CLOSE YOUR RESTAURANT DOWN! This is hands down the worst Indian food I have ever had in my life! Chicken Tikka Masala was so watered down and barely any meat. Chicken seekh kabob was missing ground chicken instead stuffed with potato fillers! So disappointed!! These cheap Indians give good food a bad name!! Please boycott these fraud restaurants.

Excellent place. Don't go by the looks of the place. Food is great plus the owner treats customers very well. If you want great Indian/Pakistani food in Palatine or close by suburbs and don't want to take a trip to Devon or 15-20 miles out, then this is the place to go.

So delicious! We got the aloo gobi and the daal. The samosas were soooo good. Some of the best indian food I’ve ever had. The owner is really nice.

The food here was really amazing and the owner was so nice and very accommodating. We had chicken tandoori and chicken tikka masalla, and both were extremely fresh and tasty. The serving sizes were also huge and the prices very reasonable. We can’t wait to come back!

First of all I would like to start with Ali what a nice guy he was so helpful and considerate. He suggested the tandoori Tikka masala and it was on point also I asked for spicy and it was perfect CHICKEN SEEKH KABOB were AMAZING best I have ever had. This place is a must try it's a little hard to find but I am glad I found it. Ali is such a honest man I dropped a hundred dollars he noticed and if he wouldn't have said anything I would not know this man will definitely make it basically he knows how to do business. Only the wait time is a little longer but I am definitely coming back thank you Ali I will be back!

A Halal restaurant in Palatine with tasty Indo Pak cuisine. Better do order it before sometime and go to avoid wait time

This Indian restaurant is a hidden gem in Palatine! The other restaurant’s taste and quality doesn’t compare to Shan’s food. I drive out from des plaines just to get Indian food from there. 100% recommend to everyone.
