Disclaimer: if it was an option, I'd give this more like 3.5 stars. The ramen wasn't bad. It wasn't great either. I'm not much of a meat eater lately so I ordered the vegetable ramen.
I paid under $15 so I definitely can't complain about the price! And the kid at the counter was great, too.
The ramen itself? Ehhh... it was okayish. There wasn't much in the way of veggies - a little broccoli, a little corn, and some onions. That's about it. The broth was hot but bland. I had to season it up a lot but, once I did, it was fine. The noodles were....weird. Instead of the typical ramen noodles one would expect, these looked more like linguini noodles. Not terrible, just not quite what I expected.
Would I go out of my way to return? No. But, if I happened to be in the neighborhood and driving by? sure, I'd go back again.

This is a small, Mom and Pop location serving up sushi, ramen, rice bowls, and noodles. A simple but diverse menu of the dishes makes ordering easy. I had the Spicy Umami Miso Ramen. It's a dish or ground pork, white miso, noodles, veggies, a fish cake, and boiled egg. The broth was flavorful and balanced with mild heat. (Be warned, my mild heat can be very hot for some people...)The price was reasonable, the servings large, the service was efficient, and the place was clean.I will most definitely visit again, and I recommend this l9cation.
You should adjust your hours of operation that are advertised on the door of your restaurant. It says you are open on Tuesday.

A welcome addition to the Palatine. The ramen and curry katsu are phenomenal. Excited every cool rainy day to visit and enjoy a meal. Glad to have this place local and hope it stays around for a long time.

I was so excited when I saw the good reviews! It’s hard to find good ramen outside of the city. I ordered the tonkastu, I’m not sure what is was but it certainly was not tonkastu. Very watery no flavor (which is the exact OPPOSITE of what tonkastu is supposed to be.)Also ordered curry ramen, it was fine but also very watery! The tempura also was not tempura.The only good thing about the dish was the egg that came with my ramen.

Ever since Benkey closed I haven't gone to any ramen restaurants. Today I decided to try this place. I had Spicy Umami Miso with udon noodles. My mother had Chicken Ramen. OMG it was fantastic!!!! I recommend this place!
