Black Voluptuary
I’m a Door Dasher and I am frequently assigned to this location. I also happen to be Black American. I have piercings and tattoos that I typically cover when I work in the Orland Park area, because it is an area that is largely populated with arab people, who are generally very racist people that bite my culture, but don’t have to bear the weight of it or pay the social taxes that my people have to pay to exist. This was the first time I walked in without a skull cap on and I guess I was too Black this time. I have never before been asked to reveal my phone to the workers, but today I guess as I was I triggered their racist subconscious and they looked at my phone, for what I assume was to double check that I wasn’t one of the “bad” Black people. When I am in the store on occasions where my aesthetic is more palatable to their prejudice I have to deal with the entitled regulars that often hang out there. They are also arab. I deal with micro-aggressions that present as being looked at in the eye as they speak to one another in arabic. I love and embrace other cultures, so the problem isn’t that they speak to one another, but it’s that being clearly spoken about in a tongue I don’t understand is intentional and ill-spirited. The same crowd of mostly arab men also likes to play fight one another in the store and dominate the space in other ways that is not hospitable. On one of these occasions they bumped into me with their antics. It takes a very unaware, entitled, arrogant, out-of-touch type of mindset to not be able to contain yourself in a public space. I stay out of the way PHYSICALLY and do not speak unless it’s about an order, but even that is not enough apparently to not have to experience the entitlement and lack of self awareness and decorum that these young men exercise in this space. This is not a place I would recommend that my community supports in any kind of way. Not even by attending without spending any money. If and when my people come close to this level of behavior we are reported to the police, arrested or at the very least further stereotyped and painted as ignorant and less than, just like everyone already thinks. It must be nice to exist in that kind of privilege and to have that kind of lack of regard without having to answer for it. I’ll never know. Below are pictures of the order I just picked up, at the location that they belong to. This is so that anybody reading this sees that Black people, even the tattooed ones can behave, positively contribute to society and are worthy of trust. The same honor and trust we give to, for example, arabs, based on no other metric other than the fact that they aren’t Black. I’m highly unimpressed. The order made it to its destination.

Poor service, dirty floor and tables, poor service. Bunch of punks hangout in the parking lot harassing my gf as we entered. These kids also sit in their cars outside loitering while the owner does nothing.Parking: Bunch of young kids loitering in the parking lot, doing burnouts and donuts, those guys take up most of the parking spaces and even caught one looking into my car when I parked it to go to the business next door. The atmosphere was nice a year ago. Today it’s just young Arabs who treat the place as a club while harassing my gf when I went in with her to get her tea. On top of that they throw their trash in the parking lot, littering everywhere.
DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! I drove 15 minutes out of my way to come get some boba. I arrive and tell the worker I have a free drink on my punch card. Before I can finish my sentence he rudely interrupted me and says "We don't accept that here". At first I was confused because why would they not accept a boba heaven punch card at boba heaven? He then proceeds to tell me that my card didn't work for the certain location. I was not made aware of this "new rule". I was confused on this policy as the man yelling at me was just telling me I couldn't use the card. Long story short just don't go here unless you want to be yelled at by rude employees.
