Great place, helpful beertenders! I stopped in to pick up a few Oktoberfest beers that I discovered they had via Untappd! Bottle shops like Beer on the Wall are perfect for when you don't want to buy a full 4-pack or 6-pack of something you want to try. And they have a good selection of beers on tap!

Live in PR.. it’s been awhile since I have stopped in… I thought to myself how expensive Beer on the Wall was/is… today again reminded me of why I haven’t been back in so long. Not only was the service eh.. the woman behind the bar was more annoyed we were there and that we were interrupting her conversation with some dude.. ..ordered a few beers and after talked about how crazy expensive beer on the wall is…. Walk over to Holts or Pennyville.. save yourself the lack of service and $ on the beer: convenient spot sure, but not ideal.

Have you ever had a $17 beer? Me neither, until today.

Visiting Beer on the Wall in Park Ridge offers a diverse and intriguing beer selection that tempts any craft beer enthusiast. With options ranging from light Lagers to robust IPAs and unique farmhouse drafts, there's a taste for every palate. The atmosphere is lively, and the setup with an outdoor patio adds to the allure, making it a potentially great spot for a sunny day.

During my visit, the experience was a rollercoaster. The beers were generally excellent, each pour delivering a distinct and flavorful experience, scoring a solid 10/10 on the beer quality scale—until one misstep. One of the beers had a musky, underarm-like aroma, which was less than pleasant. When I requested a swap, the initial refusal from one staff member was disappointing. He should have offered a "taste" first before (which they do without charge). Fortunately, another team member was more accommodating, allowing me to exchange the off-putting beer for another.

While the customer service was inconsistent, and some patrons seemed to have similar challenges with the bartenders, it's not enough to write this place off completely. The staff's eventual willingness to rectify the issue shows promise. However, prospective visitors might want to approach with a bit of caution—perhaps check the crowd and ask about the flexibility on beer swaps before diving in.

Overall, Beer on the Wall has the potential to be a fantastic spot for beer lovers. Just be prepared for a possible hiccup or two, and don't hesitate to speak up if something isn't to your liking. It's not without its flaws, but it's certainly worth a visit for anyone looking to explore some unique brews in Park Ridge.

Been going here for years and I can't believe I have never wrote a review. The concept of being able to buy one can of beer to try is awesome. THE STAFF IS GREAT. Josh, Molly, Chuck, Andrzej, Kacie, Steven, Luke, Tyler, and owner Ryan.

Tons of beer options and easy make your own 4 pack options. Great weekly like trivia and bottle shares. The bathroom is stocked with a baby changing table and free pads and tampons. Tables, bar seating and couches available for lounging and drinking. Had a great time playing Nintendo and enjoying a beer.

Came in with my craft beer loving man after pulling up a map and picking a spot while in Park Ridge for something else. I couldn't read the board on the wall because I'm blind and didn't have my glasses so I asked for a porter or a stout. I didn't get any info just menu numbers. So I said "is one of those a porter?" and ordered it. My dude was asking about citrus IPAs (also vision challenged) and the bartender threw out numbers. As in a number 1, 2 or 10 on the menu--not names, or types or anything. Every brewery we've been to has been an eager discussion about all things beer--names, abv etc. I ended up taking a picture of the wall so we could zoom in and see everything for our 2nd round. There was another interaction about the music that left us feeling weird--as in we liked what was playing, asked what it was...were met with a long pause and then "Tool..........tool radio." Yes, my dude loves Tool and was commenting on how the station was a great mix of rock and metal. Crickets from the bartender. I was going to buy some merch and we were possibly going to have another round but we closed out and got out of there.

Interesting selection and I like that there's space to sit and drink, not just shop.I will say I was a bit annoyed with whomever checked me out at the counter. I came in, grabbed beers to go and the payment prompted me for gratuity, which I bypassed because... Why wouldn't I if the only service I received was to be rung out? But that earned me a sneer and my immediate thought was if the cashier had to rely on gratuity as well, then the owners are cheapskates who need to pay better. It's not like they were selling those beers cheap! In short, nice concept, I might return, but my first experience there definitely left me cold. Also: the owner response to my review (I very rarely give negative reviews, it takes quite a feat to get one from me) pretty much caps off the overall experience as a bad one.

The staff gives the proper head every time. I can do without the Vikings pride though. Minnesota sucks.
