From Indiana. Came for breakfast, sat next to the register. What looked to be the owner was greeting everyone and called at least 3 people by name. This place was immaculate, the food was fast and one of the best omelets I’ve ever had. Our server was wonderful and offered us homemade salsa which was amazing. Don’t let this little cafe fool you. It’s worth stopping in for the Chicago charm.

We were staying near the airport and our breakfast options were limited due to our timing/lack of car. I am not particularly fond of American diner-style food but I am so glad we stopped in. The service was simply unbelievable. Everyone was so nice and you could tell they genuinely believed in offering good customer service. I made quite a few changes to the breakfast sandwhich and they made it work without a problem. When I asked for a to go cup for the rest of my coffee, they brought out a whole fresh new cup. As stated before, I am not a fan of American breakfast foods typically, but with that in mind the food was still tasty and the menu was relatively varied. The only negative I can come up with is that there were not a lot of breakfast meat options for those that don’t eat pork.

We have been coming to Macs for years. The food is delicious (also comes out fast and hot!) and the staff is super friendly. The owner is always around, helping fill coffee cups and serving plates. One of, if not THE BEST, breakfast/lunch spots in the area. Friendly reminder: CASH ONLY!!!
This locally owned restaurant has given me the BEST customer service I’ve ever experienced. Not only did the owner personally introduce himself, he went out of his way to check on us multiple times in addition to his staff. We were well taken care of from the moment we walked in the door and immediately greeted. My portions were huge, and absolutely delicious! I’m going to have to make it a point to come back to Chicago more often, and absolutely my stop for breakfast and lunch before I fly out of o’hare!
