This place is a hidden gem! My wife and I stopped in for breakfast and we are so happy we did. The owner was awesome, he had me try the soup, it was delicious!!! Didn’t even need to add salt or pepper! All of our food was cooked perfect, came out fast and tasted great. The food is fresh, which is what sets them above any breakfast restaurant I’ve been too. I love the welcoming family owned feel this place has. We sat at the counter, where you can see the food being cooked, the servers grabbing drinks and the owner cashing people out. Our server was very nice and made sure we were taken care of! Made good conversation and she recommended their homemade salsa, definitely a must try! Thank you for the great experience and great breakfast. Every single employee and the owner were extremely nice and friendly! This will be my go to breakfast spot when we visit Chicago!

Open for breakfast and lunch only. There's a reason this restaurant has been open for decades. It has an old diner feel. No better breakfast around. Lunch selections are simple but delicious. Nobody I know has ever had a bad meal here. It's usually crowded but there is counter seating. Service is wonderful and prompt. You're always greeted like an old friend. If you've never been here, you're missing out on a beloved local gem.

Just flew in on a red eye and found this gem of a joint for breakfast. Let's just say i was not disappointed! Food was excellent, all employees were super friendly. I had the Mac's skillet. I highly recommend eating here and will definitely come back next time im in chicago.Chicago. It is a cash only establishment and they have an atm right as you walk in.

From Indiana. Came for breakfast, sat next to the register. What looked to be the owner was greeting everyone and called at least 3 people by name. This place was immaculate, the food was fast and one of the best omelets I’ve ever had. Our server was wonderful and offered us homemade salsa which was amazing. Don’t let this little cafe fool you. It’s worth stopping in for the Chicago charm.

We were staying near the airport and our breakfast options were limited due to our timing/lack of car. I am not particularly fond of American diner-style food but I am so glad we stopped in. The service was simply unbelievable. Everyone was so nice and you could tell they genuinely believed in offering good customer service. I made quite a few changes to the breakfast sandwhich and they made it work without a problem. When I asked for a to go cup for the rest of my coffee, they brought out a whole fresh new cup. As stated before, I am not a fan of American breakfast foods typically, but with that in mind the food was still tasty and the menu was relatively varied. The only negative I can come up with is that there were not a lot of breakfast meat options for those that don’t eat pork.
