From Indiana. Came for breakfast, sat next to the register. What looked to be the owner was greeting everyone and called at least 3 people by name. This place was immaculate, the food was fast and one of the best omelets I’ve ever had. Our server was wonderful and offered us homemade salsa which was amazing. Don’t let this little cafe fool you. It’s worth stopping in for the Chicago charm.
Mac's is the quintessential old-fashioned diner. No fancy over the top food, just good food. Daily specials will remind you of items your mom and grandma made. Service is friendly and fast. It's just a really good place to go.
We were staying near the airport and our breakfast options were limited due to our timing/lack of car. I am not particularly fond of American diner-style food but I am so glad we stopped in. The service was simply unbelievable. Everyone was so nice and you could tell they genuinely believed in offering good customer service.
