It was my 1st time ordering from this place. Found them on Google maps and,honestly, they exceeded my expectations. Ordered Two Meat Platter . Can't say it was the best bbq I have tried, far from that, but also can't say they were bad. Too much fatty meat instead of plain one. (meat look weird, right?) But ok. Had the brisket and ribs with sides of mac & queso and the beans. Wow, the brisket was tender, juicy and great flavor. While I prefer St Louis ribs, Mel's baby back ribs were perfect. No sauces needed. The beans were excellent, had some meat mixed in, and had the right enough spice. The mac & queso was good but needed a little more queso for my liking. The pickled onions, jalapeño and pickles were a nice addition with some great flavor. Will definitely be back!
Ribs were very good. I like the place. I did not like the mac’n cheese, cole slaw or sauces. The brisket was very fatty. The pulled pork was a bit salty. I would go back to hang out and eat ribs.
