We had such a taste for Chinese food, it was the only place we could find that was open on a Monday night. Never again. The food was tasteless. Prepared quickly but rather questionable. There were maybe seven small pieces of chicken in the total container (they're large) of chicken fried rice. The sweet and sour chicken was crispy but very greasy. The actual sweet and sour sauce was very watery. The gyoza my son ordered were tasteless, and the sauce had chopped up onions in it-something which we had never seen before in potstickers. The egg rolls were wrapped in a variation of cardboard, rather than wontons. Not sure if they were par cooked because they were very hard and again, tasteless. The gentleman who took the order at the counter was pleasant. The woman who served it seemed to be angry. Not sure if she was angry at us for dining in, or angry that she had to be there. The place is definitely NOT CLEAN. The kitchen is separated from the order taker/desk by a (dirty) shower curtain. Our total for this experience was $54.34. When we walked in thought it might be the "hole in the wall" joint that had really great food, but was sadly disappointed. Again, never going back. If I could give less than one star, I would.

Meh...The bar was low for a strip mall Chinese place, and New China 1 delivered blah, as expected. It was not awful in any way, but nothing remarkable to report either. Okay for fried food, okay portion sizes, okay prices, good sticky rice and fast preparation, though. The continuous scowl of the young lady at the counter was a turn-off. She obviously was not happy to meet me or be there, causing me to question the lack of pride and how the food was handled. Seemed out of place for Park Ridge.

This place is just filthy and dirty to begin with. I really regret ordering food from here. The food is greasy and tasted bad, portions are small. If your looking for Chinese Food go elsewhere!

Ive been gling to this place for years. The food and portions are pretty decent. I would also recommend getting the Mongolian Beef or spicy combination fried rice, its such a filler.

I normally don’t leave reviews but this place deserved a good review. The food here is amazing I normally get the orange chicken and it’s the best I’ve ever had. The sauce is amazing and doesn’t compare to other places I’ve tried.

This place has really gone downhill fast! Our "Beef and Broccoli" had 4 pieces of beef and about 15-17 pieces of broccoli ? in it. The beef lo mein noodles were so incredibly salty that we had to throw them away. The only thing that actually came as expected was the crab rangoon. They were delicious and served as our dinner because everything else was inedible. Not only these things but my 11 year old got the absolute WORST fortune cookie ever and cried for a good 30 min because she was scared of the future. The fortune cookie that scared her is the one on the bottom of the picture. I will NEVER visit this place again and instead drive farther away to an actual GOOD Chinese Restaurant where the food is edible!

Not sure what I expected since the order was ready to be picked up 5 minutes after putting it in, but I've never gotten so little food at a Chinese restaurant for the price I paid ($26). The only good part of the meal was the meat itself, but that doesn't cut it. If you're looking for fair portion sizes for the price, and quality food, this is not the spot to go to.

I ordered beef fried rice and chicken chop suey and we got some egg rolls it was all very good their food is good there their egg rolls are delicious but if you take it out you're better off inside it's not so clean very messy they need to clean up their act inside with their boots they're very pricey but the food is very good.
