Acoustics terrible here. Too many tables. Really have never enjoyed eating here but do so on the recommendations of others. Food is typical for an Italian restaurant. Best thing about the restaurant is it's location, just off the expressway.

Delicious as always. A little louder than usual, but still fine.

Great for parties, yes, but when you have two parties going on at the same time, you should close down reservations when you won't be providing good service or letting the kids run around and scream like crazy. Waitress would visibly be frustrated when we were asking questions about the food instead of just placing our order right away. Walked away when we said we were ready to order, but we weren't doing it fast enough. Rolled her eyes and gave an exasperated look when we asked the busboy to have her come back for our order 10 minutes after she had walked away. When she got there and I asked a question, made a face as if saying "really, you're asking questions again?!" Busboy was more attentative to our needs than she was. Only left a tip because she gave my mom a birthday dessert only after the party tables left. Calamari was rubbery, and seafood pasta was super spicy, and there were more sundried tomatoes than actual pasta in pasta dish. Better places out there, don't waste your money.

Good spot... walking in.. it's really busy with a small bar and many tables surrounding/ exposed brick walls. Nice wine list with some good Italian bottles. Good menu with half a dozen apps, homemade pasta dishes & entrees! They also had an excellent *Specials Menu* she said. Started with a couple of glasses of Barbera and some baked clams with the bread of course. Great wine & clams were on the smaller side with an excellent sauce! They are known for their homemade pasta and I decided to try the special. This was a Jalapeño Gnocchi in a Vodka Cream sauce with Corn, etc... it was excellent, cooked perfectly! For dessert we had the Molten Chocolate Cake which was also very good & great ice cream. Waitress was very good & prices are a bit above average but worth it/ you can taste the quality ingredients for sure! Close it out with some Limoncello Shots// talk later

We had stuffed pizza take out. I ordered it an hour ahead of time. The website does say it takes 45 mins; it took 80 minutes. I was not impressed with the pizza itself or how long it took.

I love the original pasta this place produces! I typically start with their bruschetta or Caprese, and then follow it up with pasta, chicken or filet.

Our meal was wonderful. We had the grilled octopus appetizer that was delicious. We shared the White Fish and jalapeño Gnocchi entrees. The fish was served on a bed of risotto with a sauce of artichokes and grape tomatoes. The jalapeño Gnocchi were little mildly spicey pillows. Both were absolutely delicious. Our server was especially friendly and helpful with suggestions. We will go there many more times.

Nonna Silvia is one of our go to restaurants in the neighborhood. It has a tendency to get very loud so I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic dinner (at least on Saturday). Food and service are usually great.

Was expecting your average Italian selections, pizza, lasagna, etc... We were very pleasantly surprised by the unique and elevated menu options. I had the sacchetini porcini pasta in a brown butter sauce and it was heavenly. Plenty of pasta options and pizza as well. Went on a Friday night at 6pm and it was packed. That did make the noise level loud but not unbearable. Service was spectacular. Swift , friendly and efficient. Great drink list and good wine selections. Overall a lovely experience - will definitely be back (because I'm still dreaming of the sacchetini lol)

Nona Silvia's remains an unbeatable dining experience for family fare and celebrations. Everything is always perfect from start to finish and we visit often for the pastas, salads, bread, wine selection, and dessert!!!

So glad that Nonna Silvia's is our go-to neighborhood restaurant. We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed with a meal. Love the mussels and grilled octopus for appetizers. The seafood risotto is delicious. Just mentioning a few of the items we love.

I have dined here a number of times and have always been very pleased with both the food and the service. This past Valentine's Day's dining experience was a complete let down. Aside from being seated between two families with multiple preschool children (not someplace one would want to be on Valentine's Day), the food and service were less than good. We ordered on of the appetizer specials (Pulpo Isabella). It was barely edible. The entire taste profile of the dish was just nasty. While my wife was very pleased with here Chilean Sea Bass entree, my twin filet medallions were awful. Order medium rare, they came medium. They were accompanied by a sauce that had so much rosemary in it, the taste was horrible. The garlic mashed potatoes had very little garlic flavor. The best part of the evening was the server misplacing my credit card. I was already out the door when I realized it was missing, and when I went back in to to find and tell my server, the first reaction was to ask me if I had put the card somewhere other than my wallet, NOT, oh, let us look for it immediately. Ultimately the card was found. Fortunately, I had the presence of mind to report the card stolen/lost immediately. This just capped off a very poor evening. I won't be making any future reservations here.

This is a perfect place for a romantic night out. If you are looking for meatless dishes, they have a good selection. The ravioli aragosta is outstanding. We will certainly go back.
