Been wanting to stop in here since we moved to Illinois a couple months ago. Finally had the opportunity and was pleasantly surprised. They've got a real nice bar and the bartender was friendly. She recommended their Italian sandwich. I was skeptical as it was on Texas toast but it was real tasty. If you are in the area, give them a shot. I'll be back.
From the outside you'd think it's a country tavern. Once inside the atmosphere is warm, the people are friendly and as we came to find out people come from all over. We met a group of cross country Enduro riders from Chicago who said they stop there every year. The menu is straightforward and looks inviting enough. We opted for the specials - Phillipino inspired meat dumpling and butterfly chicken with fried rice. Shout out for the "better than I could make"...
