“This was the first time we stopped here since they remodeled the store. Now it's more open and spacious with sit down tables, clean washrooms, the usual excellent sandwiches, and cheese curds that are too die for. They also had a great selection of regional cheeses. Highly recommended if traveling through or local.”

“I can't say enough good things about Wishful. We always have a great time visiting. The beer menu always has a variety of styles and flavors to appeal to any taste. Top notch. Sprinkle in beer slushies and occasional food trucks in the summer and it's a great way to spend an hour or an afternoon enjoying the outdoor seating. Winter or weather not the greatest? Plenty of seating inside too. The atmosphere is always friendly. Penny and Nate do a great job. Feels like gathering with friends every time we go.”

“My boy and I decided to stay local today for lunch and try Jerods out. He ordered the cheeseburger and I ordered the Frisco burger. We got fries and and had to try the fried pickles. He gave his burger 4 out 5 for flavor, but said the fries were a little dry. The fried pickles he said were really good, and recommends them over the fries. The frisco burger was good. It comes with more cheese than I was anticipating, which made the burger taste really good. The only item of note is that this is a cash or check only place, no plastic. Overall, good food, and we recommend Jerods!”

“Like the down to home feeling there. Wished they served more than pizza. But do like that they try it get different things going on there to bring more people in. They have events like keoroke, pool and dart tournaments. Raffles and outside events. You can even rent it out for parties. Great place.”

“This place is classic. Small town drive in, young kids earning money on summer break and low prices on great simpler time foods and soft-serve. If you haven't been here yet, you need to go. Tell your friends and neighbours. Don't let places like this one die to the big nothing burger places. And summer will be done before you know it and you will have to wait til next year.”

“This is a cute sports bar with lots of sports memorabilia from local school teams. There is a separate bar and restaurant area. The newly updated outdoor seating is very fun, and recently there were popular bands on the outdoor stage. This restaurant is located on a golf course, and has daily specials. I like that they post their specials on Facebook so we can see them ahead of time! It is a cozy place to eat and hang out with friends.”

“We are from out of town and stopped in for a quick bite this evening. Small towns often have the reputation of being unfriendly or unwelcoming, so we’d be slightly apprehensive about stopping in.The two gentlemen behind the counter put that to rest instantly; they had THE best customer service out of any Subway we’ve ever visited. We were in about 40 minutes before close and they not only didn’t seem phased by that, they were also super friendly and talkative, telling us about the cool things going on in the area and the local treasures we should explore in town.These two should be on the tourism bureau. In a world where so many people have become unfriendly, they are a bright ray of sunshine. Great job!!!”

“Nice, place but I had to clean my own table. I watched and noticed why? The female server was great, sad she had to clean up after her fellow co-worker. Watched him serve, take care and cash out, yet didn't clean, SMH, ? Anyway the food was good. I enjoyed the steak ?”

“Today was our first visit and it was excellent; Our waitress (a tall slim young lady whose name eludes me) was very courteous and friendly, my wife had the "steak salad" which she said was outstanding, I had the pork tenderloin that was the size of a Pontiac hubcap, and French fries, which also was excellent, and we had their hand battered onion rings...YUM! The prices are reasonable by todays standards; Oh yes, we'll be back!”

“Went because it was close to the train show which was the reason we were in Lena. The food and service was terrific! Prices are in line with similar venues. We live in Roscoe. Both my husband and I were impressed enough that we would make the drive to Lena just to eat.Vegetarian options: I had the chicken teriaki wrap minus the chicken . It was packed full of vegetables and was delicious.!”

“We are from out of town and had heard great reviews from some of the other people in the area, so we stopped in. They did not disappoint!!! The variety of food is impressive!! The gentleman who was our server was very friendly and shared things to do in the area. Unfortunately, my engine light came on as we were nearing the restaurant, so I called the auto shop in town and they said i could run over and they’d scan it, so I ducked out before the food came intending to return (leaving my family there). They said the gentleman was still super nice and when I didn’t return for a while (ordering parts), they packed my food to go. ? The even more impressive part - we were unaware that they closed from 2-4 and we walked in at 1:58. They were so gracious about allowing us to stay - we kept saying we could come back, but they encouraged us to stay. My family agreed the food was wonderful - fresh and hot. Even though I had to eat mine after we got back to the campground, the food was still delicious. Can’t recommend this place highly enough - I wish we lived closer; we’d be here all the time!”

“Once again a great experience after 20 years..Food was great, service was great, the supper club charm is still there. We took another couple for a supper club night out and all enjoyed... we even saw 2 deer in the back 40...We will be back again sooner than last time.”
