“I can't say enough good things about Wishful. We always have a great time visiting. The beer menu always has a variety of styles and flavors to appeal to any taste. Top notch. Sprinkle in beer slushies and occasional food trucks in the summer and it's a great way to spend an hour or an afternoon enjoying the outdoor seating. Winter or weather not the greatest? “This is a cute sports bar with lots of sports memorabilia from local school teams. There is a separate bar and restaurant area. The newly updated outdoor seating is very fun, and recently there were popular bands on the outdoor stage. This restaurant is located on a golf course, and has daily specials. I like that they post their specials on Facebook so we can see them ahead of time! It is a cozy place to eat and hang out with friends.”

“We are from out of town and stopped in for a quick bite this evening. Small towns often have the reputation of being unfriendly or unwelcoming, so we’d be slightly apprehensive about stopping in.The two gentlemen behind the counter put that to rest instantly; they had THE best customer service out of any Subway we’ve ever visited. We were in about 40 minutes before close and they not only didn’t seem phased by that, they were also super friendly and talkative, telling us about the cool things going on in the area and the local treasures we should explore in town.These two should be on the tourism bureau. In a world where so many people have become unfriendly, they are a bright ray of sunshine. Great job!!!”

“Went because it was close to the train show which was the reason we were in Lena. The food and service was terrific! Prices are in line with similar venues. We live in Roscoe. Both my husband and I were impressed enough that we would make the drive to Lena just to eat.Vegetarian options: I had the chicken teriaki wrap minus the chicken . It was packed full of vegetables and was delicious.!”

“We are from out of town and had heard great reviews from some of the other people in the area, so we stopped in. They did not disappoint!!! The variety of food is impressive!! The gentleman who was our server was very friendly and shared things to do in the area. Unfortunately, my engine light came on as we were nearing the restaurant, so I called the auto shop in town and they said i could run over and they’d scan it, so I ducked out before the food came intending to return (leaving my family there). They said the gentleman was still super nice and when I didn’t return for a while (ordering parts), they packed my food to go. ? The even more impressive part - we were unaware that they closed from 2-4 and we walked in at 1:58. They were so gracious about allowing us to stay - we kept saying we could come back, but they encouraged us to stay. My family agreed the food was wonderful - fresh and hot. Even though I had to eat mine after we got back to the campground, the food was still delicious. Can’t recommend this place highly enough - I wish we lived closer; we’d be here all the time!”
