I ordered takeout from Avantis in Pekin for the first time (actually my first time EVER having Avantis at all). I was pretty disappointed with the serving sizes of the items. I ordered a large cheese ravioli and got approximately 7 or 8 raviolis. The only reason I think this is unfair, is because as a meal I paid $17 for this. Some other items I ordered the servings were decent. But, for spending over $100, it just seemed like it wasn’t a whole lot. Another thing I was disappointed in was the flavor. I know a lot of people love Avantis, but for me it was just bland and not great (I felt this way about multiple items I tried). So, with the price, serving sizes, and taste I do not believe this is somewhere I’d eat at again.
Edit: My sister counted her large raviolis- it was 6. 6 raviolis with a side of pasta salad and a drink for $17?! I can’t imagine what the normal serving size for this is!

Ordered the lasagna as I normally do at the Peoria Location. Tasted different but chucked it up to being at a different location well I should have definitely switched what I had right there because 4 hours later I've had a stomach ache since leaving and now throwing up, now by no means do I have a weak stomach I have a countless amount of people who joke I have a stomach of steel cause I can eat some pretty crazy things but some how this restaurant visit has sent me into a horrible game of am I going to make it in time.... Wish I could say I ate something or somewhere else in the day but that is all I had eaten the whole day and probably all I will eat for the next few days... please do better.

Rough dinner service. Food was good and reasonably priced. Bill was $42 for four of us. Service was slow it was a long time for our waitress to visit the table. 2 other staff were trying to help. Waitress got one of the four orders wrong. When we went to pay there was some sort of issue with another table paying for the wrong bill so checkout took way too long. We will go back because we have had good service before and its a good value.

Ordered online for delivery at pekin location. We usually get the gondolas and it’s a fine experience, but this was bad. The delivery was on time, but the food was pretty terrible to be honest. The Chicken Parmesan wasn’t even like just a chicken patty on pasta, was more like a frozen chicken meal heated up type of chicken texture.

Ordered 3 dinners for pickup. One was linguini carbonara which I did not get. Instead I got tortellini. Ordered a salad with French, got no salad dressing at all. Did not want to drive all the way back from Mapleton to get it straightened out.

First time I have to complain about Avantis. I’ve been going for years and have loved the garden salad and especially the bread. Was surprised when the waitress kind of threw the basket of bread on the table..that is 4 slices. Later when I asked for more I was informed it would “cost me”….never had that happened before then. She said that changed last August can’t prove it but I’m sure I had been there after then. Way to cut prices and customers
