This is from the Busy Corner, out of all the options in pekin for breakfast this beats all of them. They actually cook. On a stove. They also know how to season food. Common sense right? Go anywhere else in pekin and you'll find microwaved food with little taste. Now if I'm wrong I'd love to try somewhere new.

The lady that got our drinks seemed to be in a rush and didn’t seem to know what they did or didn’t have. Waitress put in our child’s order wrong, the skillet they gave my husband was inedible (and he eats just about everything). Then she asked for a 35% tip. We used to be regular customers, coming in every other week or so. We will not be back after this.

Made an order online picked up they had given me the wrong meal, called immediately and was told they would replace my order , next day they were closed and I don't live in town. Waited to come back to work went to order my replacement order and the lady that is working this morning is extremely rude , has no people skills and dose not belong talking with customers. I said never mind keep the replacement order my family will no longer be coming back sad to see a place that was great get ruined by rude people like her.

This is the best breakfast place in central Illinois. Let's be honest ... it's nothing to look at ... it's not in the best neighborhood ... inside it has some faded pictures of John Wayne and the seating is your standard 4 -person square tables. When it's full, it's loud. So, if you are looking for a quiet, romantic breakfast place, this isn't your place! However, if you want some great breakfast food and super friendly, attentive service. .. this is the place! My coffee was always full and Whitney was always smiling. The star of the show was the food. I got the chicken fried steak breakfast ... big portions, homemade gravy, crispy hash browns and two deliciously scrambled eggs. And this might sound a little silly, but the white toast was perfect! I'm serious ... it was perfect! If you want breakfast, the Busy Corner in Pekin is the place to go!!!

During my recent visit to Busy Corner for an Olivia graduation gift, I felt pressured to finish my meal quickly. The owner and waitress both asked if I was done before I requested the check, which I found somewhat abrupt. When I mentioned my concerns to the waitress, she became argumentative, which struck me as unusual given the two inquiries about my status. In a somewhat amusing twist, she neglected to include a tip for herself. Initially, I intended to provide a substantial tip, but I AM NOW GLAD SHE CHOSE NOT TO TIP HERSELF!! I suggest that the staff focus on developing a more empathetic and customer-centric approach, which may ultimately result in improved gratuities.
