Haven't had an issue ordering from this location. Food is always hot and tasty. We had a bigger order a few weeks ago and everything was accurate to what was ordered.
The bread is really good. It's on the sweeter side. My wife likes the lasagna and I like the pizza bread with sausage. The sausage is the crumbly kind which is great. You also get a nice layer of it, so that's appreciated. My other family members like the spaghetti and bread. Garlic bread is great too. Definitely recommend the family feast as a great quick family meal.

We moved from the area 12 years ago and use to go LaGondola for a quick take out dinner now and then. It was delicious 12 plus years ago. The sauce was bold and robust, flavor was wonderful but that was not the case 12 years later. The recipe has had to change and even the garlic bread wasn't as delicious as it use to be, So disappointing.

Grew up with this place, it will always be special to me. In May of 2024 I brought some (kind of a lot) home with me 8.5 hours away in Northern Alabama.
Picked up a torpedo deluxe there recently and it had absolutely no flavor all I could taste is a generic sensation of salt, fat, and carbs. The cold cuts used to taste very flavorful and same for the cheese and the bread had absolutely no flavor to it, totally inert. Even the bread by itself has no taste with butter. I gave the rest to someone and they said the same. Never ordering again. Sad to say as a former Pekin native that grew up on this place.

The only reason i went there was avantis was closed for some reason. Big mistake. My so called deluxe gondola had nothing on it but skimpy meat and cheese....no tomato..o nion..lettuce.. 2 full length cinn. Breads with icing costing 1.95 each.....extra.. .and of course when i get home....no icings. I kissed that 50 bucks goodbye.
