They completely ruined this place! There's no waitresses, no plates, no workers taking your order. You walk in, place your order on a kiosk, get your own drink (they no longer make a cherry coke like they did before), then they place your order on a counter and you have to watch the tags to see if it's yours. They've completely ruined how steak n shake is supposed to be. Will not be coming back again.

Ordered a cookie dough milkshake and it had no cookie dough only chocolate chips with chocolate syrup on top and it was so frozen and thick you couldn’t drink it at all. I swear it had ice chips all the way through it like it was premade and sat in a freezer and was mixed with actual ice. It tasted horrible. I got home and had to dump it on a plate to try and eat it and you could literally see clear ice all in it. I threw the whole thing out. Not to mention when they handed it to me the whole side was covered in chocolate sauce and got my car covered. Waited in line for a good 10-15 minutes just for that. Disappointment and complete waste of money.

Save your money, hopefully this will be the next fast food to be shut down in pekin, like kfc, garbage service with an attitude, paid 12$ for a undercooked mutilated cheeseburger and ice cold chicken strips, threw it all away...dont waste your time or money, it needs to be shut down, period.

I've been going to Steak and Shake since the 50s but after today I will never go back. The chili sucked. The cheeseburger sucked. The french fries sucked. Not only was the food bad, I guess they can't afford waitresses anymore because you have to order your food through a computer and pick it up at the counter and return your trays. As I said before, my latest and last visit sucked. There are too many restaurants today to have to put up with this type of service. Another one bites the dust.

Ordered chilli mac n chilli 5 ways... on 5 way there was No onion. No cheese just BEANS!!!! AND was greasy as hell. Never again!!
