My wife Heather and I go to Yesterday's on the regular. We began going for the Taste of Events and it has become our favorite spot to dine out in town. The Chef that owns the establishment is Classically trained and her experience in Chicago shines through. Plate prices a well in line with local dining establishments. She has a cocktail menu with some of the classics I remember my grandparents ordering, but with great modern stylings to try. You'll never leave wanting.

The waitress was very friendly and helpful navigating their menu. YBG offers a wide variety of flavors, apps, entrees, and beverages. I ordered The Club with a side of fries. I had to stop myself from eating it all in one sitting because it was THAT DELICIOUS! I also purchased a Strawberry Salad to go. The salad looks amazing! I know it’s going to taste even better. I will definitely be a returning customer and recommend YBG to all.

Attended Yesterday’s Bar & Grill for their Martini Cocktail Class recently with a few friends and I had the best time ever! We got to make three martini cocktails and had food that went with each one after making them. The service was great, the food was delicious, and we had blast learning new recipes.

A group of 10 were here celebrating a birthday. The owner was single-handedly serving our table, bartending, AND cooking! It was incredible to watch her multi-task, and all with a smile! She's so sweet.. but, even better than that was the FOOD!! Best lamb chops in central IL! Go check YBG out! ❤️

Very mixed about my first experience at Yesterday's. Giving a pass on service, waiter was first day and just helping out. Seems to be staffing issues to not have anyone to work on a Saturday at lunch. Stopped in for brunch, mostly had breakfast items and the shammy hamburger. Daughter 1 order the waffle and said it was good, bacon was good. Small waffle though, not worth $16 for a waffle and a couple pieces of bacon. Daughter 2 pancakes, again $16 for 3 small pancakes and bacon not worth it. Pancakes tasted under cooked and like batter. Like griddle was too high, fried the outside and did not cook inside enough. I had the Schammy burger. Ordered medium, was a little under cooked and could probably invest in a burger press so not to have a meatball for a burger. Rather it under cooked a little than over cooked and dry. Burger was under seasoned but with some much other stuff on it, just made the burger soggy and fell apart . Onions were burnt and overwhelming. Fries were very good. Soda i ordered had to go back, no carbonation and all syrup. Water glass seemed to jot be clean and daughter 2 kept saying her glass tasted strange on the rim. Bathrooms need some remodeling. Daughter said women's room floors were sticky and felt like the tiles were broke under foot. Overall, over priced for what we got. $70 for 3 people for what we had was over priced. Feels like more cocktail bar than grill. Will give a chance for dinner redemption some day but not in a hurry to go back.
