Cherie was rude when we ordered, but was nice to the customer after us. Later, she went out of her way to come up and yell at us about having a granola bar when other people around us had outside food and snacks.

We were the only brown family in the shop and were treated so poorly after being excited to go there. Don’t buy from racists :(

P.S. the coffee tasted like water

I stopped by this coffee shop recently and witnessed something that honestly made me sick to my stomach. An older woman (her name is Sheri) who works there started yelling at a brown family for bringing in outside food. She made a huge scene, totally embarrassing them in front of everyone.

But here’s the messed up part there was a white family sitting in the shop at the same time, also with outside food. No one said a word to them.

It was painfully obvious what was going on. The double standard was disgusting, and it felt straight up racist. You can’t claim to be a welcoming place when that’s how people are treated.

I won’t be coming back, and I hope others think twice before supporting a business that lets this kind of behavior slide.

This place is nice on the inside and nice staff. I got a Carmel macchiato and it tasted like straight up water I was tempted to get another shot but had already paid almost 7 dollars for it. Would not recommend the Carmel macchiato at all or really any latter drinks. Maybe their coffee is good?

The coffee tastes like burnt coffee and had my whole car smelling burnt for hours after removing the coffee….. I was highly disappointed! I’ll give it another try when I return…. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 it’s better

Cute coffee shop with great tasting drinks. The person who is often at the register could use some training in customer service. Her words are friendly enough, but a smile would go a long way. All in all, I would recommend!

Leaves n Beans Peoria Heights has always been a favorite for our family even though we need to go out of our way to get to it. It’s the best local coffee shop! Lately though the happy, friendly vibe has changed when the woman sitting down taking orders is working the front counter. She is consistently rude and unpleasant to customers. It’s a vibe that definitely stands out as it doesn’t fit at all within the Leaves n Beans framework. The rest of every staff we interact with is friendly, joyful and always respectful.

Super cute coffee shop with a lot of very creative and delicious latte / chai offerings. We worked out of the coffee shop for a few hours. The WiFi worked great.

Such a cute and cozy coffee shop! I got one of the winter specials (something with toasted marshmallow) and it was perfect for the season. Nice quiet environment, lots of books downstairs!

I love getting coffee here when the owner ISNT taking over. I've seen the owner be rude to employees on more than one occasion and it definitely makes me feel uncomfortable to continue my order.

The is place rocks! Great espresso drinks and really good food! I was surprised about that! Staff was very friendly and concerned with quality. Definitely worth your patronage!

Parking: A few spots in the back of the building but we parked on the street.
