Alexander's Steakhouse Peoria

It was ok, not great. Way overpriced

My family went to Alexander's Steak house for the first time on a Friday night. We went by a family members recommendation. We were shocked at how small the menu was and how over priced some of the food was. The salad bar was fine but nothing I haven't seen before at any other buffet restaurant. I got a chicken breast and steak fries. for the price I thought the chicken breast would of been a good portion sized but it was a small over cooked and dried out breast. The steak fries were also over cooked and were dark brown. My wife ordered the Tuna and a baked potato. The baked potato was small and over cooked. Her tuna was good but way over priced for the size of it. Everybody's plate had something over cooked on it. Portion sizes didn't reflect the high prices. At least we got a good laugh at the ridiculousness of the food of the restaurant. the service was good, our waitress was friendly and quick. We won't be back to Alexander's Steakhouse anytime soon. Plenty of better steak restaurants in town to choose from.

My favorite steak house in peoria. Great steak selection. Best salad bar in town. The Texas toast is awesome. I highly recommend this place.

Went here for my birthday. Our waitress was awesome. Super friendly and helpful. Salad bar is excellent. Our steaks were cooked perfect and very flavorful. Casual or dressy. Reg night out or special occasion. Alexander’s is perfect.

We came with 2 other couples. 2 ordered the kabobs, 3 ordered a filet & 1 ordered the sirloin. Everyone enjoyed their meal & the excellent salad bar. This is definitely a fun place with very good food. Cecelia was our friendly waitress.

I thought I could have gotten a better Ribeye at our local restaurant. For the price we paid, I would have expected better. Everything wlse was great, server was fantastic and kept up with the 12 of us!

A Peoria stalwart tradition. You will not find a better steak, period, full stop! The facilities are spacious, comfortable and well lit. During the season, outdoor seating is to be enjoyed and the views of the marina and The Illinois River provide a picturesque backdrop.
Reservations are always a good plan. The hammered copper-top bar adds a cherry warmth while you imbibe in a very well appointed bar and a deep selection of offerings. The bar staff are one of the best in the region and will take great care of you at the bar seating.
The scent of the coal fired grills fills the air, promising a steak prepared perfectly by the grill attendants, or if you choose, you can grill your own. I prefer the professionals take the task on with a perfect Pittsburgh-style sear on a well marbled ribeye. The steaks are all on display in refrigerated cabinets for you to choose the exact steak you want, if you so desire. The cuts offered are generous and properly done. All cuts are usually available, except on extra busy nights which may sell-out on certain cuts. Absolute steal heaven at Alexander's Steakhouse.
The wait staff is well trained, attentive, competent and friendly. The menu offers a huge variety of items and will not disappoint those who do not prefer steak. Alexander's salad bar is famous throughout the region and is hard to beat whatever city you are in. Going to dinner at Alexander's Steakhouse is an excursion to look forward to and enjoy great food with great friends and associates!

Fine place to dine in with family and friends.
We definitely will come again on our dime.

Took my wife here for our Anniversary and the food and service were excellent!! Loved the salad bar, too bad only one visit with a meal. Would definitely visit again.
