“Had my first experience today with a friend for lunch. This was the best lunch I have had in the past 3 years. Wish I lived closer would be a regular at this lovely and friendly restaurant. You are going to be a great success.”

“Rhythm Kitchen has always been a staple in downtown Peoria for a couple of reasons…excellent food and awesome atmosphere. It’s cool that they just keep getting better and better. A group of us went there last night for dinner and it was absolutely outstanding! Service is always so friendly and you simply cannot replicate the Rhythm Kitchen vibe anywhere. The gumbo ya ya is an absolute must have, jerk chicken is crazy good and the meatloaf is classically delish. Even their grilled cheese is fantastic! And if you even think about leaving before dessert, you’re out of your mind. We were trying to be polite and share among the group, but there was a “survival of the fittest” mentality bubbling up at the table and let’s just say we were lucky to leave as friends. Few places leave you with the need to go back the very next day, but I gotta say, I need to go back…like now.”

“As a person that grew up on this type of food. this is the most authentic and most savory food in the area. the rice is very good and when u get the mixed grill, the kebabs melt in ur mouth delicious. the falafel is the most on point in the area of peoria. even the sald is soooo good!!!!! the kebbah is seriously the best I've ever had. the shawarma is so good it just makes u wanna come back for more. Depending who was working the counter I would get charged differently each time. $5.66 one day or $6.77 the next. I asked one day and was told I was being charged for the half and half. Ok fine, BUT today I go there and order the same drink and they wanted to charge me $7.00 for a 16oz??? Starbucks and Dunkin charge $4.49 for the same drink and size. I go to CXT to support local. But today was probably my last day. The gentleman today fixed me up and I was charged $5.00. I think you Managers better circle back because no one will pay $7.00 for a 16oz iced latte.”

It was an actual channel catfish, cooked with the most perfect crust that was not at all grease on it, the salad had the freshest salad greens, slices if cucumber, and tomatoes, with delicious croutons. The cole slaw is made there, is creamy, and I fell in love with all of it. The owner is a perfectionist and the food is too quality! I have not found anyone else in Peoria that serves this quality of food. I will be there at least once a week! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!”

“I LOVE spicy food and have a high tolerance for heat. Like Hot Ones 11/10 hot sauce is a bit mild to me type tolerance or I eat raw ghost peppers to relish the little bit of heat type tolerance. I try spicy chicken all over the place and while some taste good, none are spicy. Enter Pop-Up Chicken Shop. I ordered the chicken sandwich with their Poultygeist seasoning and OH MY is this delicious! The chicken has heat, the slaw has heat and that heat builds with each bite. So good!! If you want actual spicy chicken, try this place out! If you don't tolerate heat as much, try their other heat levels -- excellent flavor and good portions!”

Food was fresh(this is most important to me) and tasty.

Kids loved the garlic chicken kebabs and chicken tikka masala as it tasted great, fresh and not spicy at all.

House spl chicken biriyani tasted great.

Bottled water, boiled Egg in a biriyani provided by the restaurant. It may be a simple thing but not many restaurants provide these days.

“My husband and I had these donuts as our “cake”for our wedding almost a year ago. Since our one year anniversary is tomorrow, we celebrated this morning with donuts and was reminded why we choose this place. They’re soft, the frosting is perfect and they’re delicious. No donut compares to these!

Only advice I can give is to get there early. We got there just after 9 on a Saturday and they appeared like they were already running a bit low!

I tried the club supreme, which is the #9 on Rosemary Parm bread. The bread was fresh. The ingredients was fresh the Staff was 10 out of 10 on customer service.if you haven’t stopped by Jersey Mike’s in Peoria Illinois I would 100% recommend it”
