“Thank you to Los Cabos for getting me out of a bind last minute. I had another plan in place for ground beef taco meat for a staff party and it fell through the day before. I called Los Cabos and they were able to make 10lbs of ground beef taco for me to pick up the next day. It was a hit! I’m so glad my original plan didn’t work out and we were able to have some delicious tacos from Los Cabos. I highly recommend them for your catering needs. This review is mostly about their delivery partner.I just moved to Peoria, and yesterday, after 8 hours of lugging heavy boxes and furniture up 2 flights of stairs into our apartment, we decided to treat ourselves with a local pizza place.So I called for delivery because we're sweaty and exhausted, and the employee tells me they only deliver through Doordash.Crap. I hate Doordash. Nine times out of ten, there's an issue with the delivery. I picked a pizza place, because they usually hire their own drivers.But we're too tired to find somewhere else to order, so I bite the bullet.My Doordash order gets here, and of course, there's a whole pizza missing from the order. Typical Doordash. I called the restaurant and he confirmed that the pizza was still sitting there. He offered to call Doordash for a re-delivery, and I said sure, thank you.Well, 7 phone calls back and forth with Doordash customer service, they told me 1) They'd re-deliver, 2) Oops, they couldn't reach the driver 3) Do you want a refund? 4) Oops, we can't process a refund 5) I'll ask my supervisor for a re-delivery again 6) This time I had to call, and they told me they had to "escalate the issue" 7) It is now the next day, and they tell me they have to "escalate it" again to a different team.So now it's the next day and I'm still without my refund and without my pizza.2 stars for the food, because what we did receive was very tasty, but after the day we had and the added stress from Doordash, I don't know if we'll ever order here again. Maybe we'll try a carryout order, but between us working crazy First Responder hours, I don't know if we'll have the time.So, yeah, very tired, very disappointed...“

“We have ordered some vegetarian food (Veggi Noodles and Fried Rice) and non-vegetarian food (Chicken seekh kabab, Chicken tikka tandoori). The items were outstanding, there was no food left within an hour or so. We have even ordered appetizers (chilli paneer and cutlet). We are planning to try Goat fry briyani next time we visit. Overall we did like the food and will be visiting more often.“

“We have eaten in or we have preordered for carry out at least 2-3 times a month. Never had a bad pizza since they opened about 8 years ago(2015) at Peoria North location. The Pizza is always HOT! You pick up your pizza from the bar, and if you get there and your pizza is not ready from a call in, they offer you a drink from the bar as a complementary, wait. 5 stars any way you ask!!“

“They've come back strong. Quality suffered before COVID but still pretty much the only place in town. After their temporary closure we were forced to travel elsewhere to get out Chinese food fix. When they reopened they came back with higher pricing but much better quality. Tried to go today but had to back out of there due to excessive heat. The air broke and the heat was stifling. Will be back when we can breathe in there again.“

“I was very overall pleased with this place! I had not eaten from here since I was a small child! My Mongolian beef was very good and tender! My husband had general tso chicken it wasn't spicy but still he loved it. It came with sticky rice. We also had creamy good potstickers! The portions of our entrees were huge! It was so pleasing! The sugar sprinkle donuts were so tasty and fresh! We shared some plum wine which was tasty but alittle syrupy. Our waitress was so nice and quick to get stuff for us. “I had a great time at Sugar Wood. I had the BLT Quesadilla, Pork Chipotle Pizza, Artisan Cheese Bread and Pesto Chicken. My favorite thing was the BLT Quesadilla. It was so delicious and fresh. The chicken was moist. The bacon was crispy. 9.5/10 The pork chipotle pizza was pretty good. It was a little sloppy but that's ok. BBQ sauce tasted good nothing really special tho. The Pork needed a little more seasoning. But still good overall. 8/10. The Artisan Cheese Bread was delicious,fresh and crispy.If your not a fan of Parmesan don't get it, it loaded with Parmesan. 8.5/10 Which I love!! Last but not least Pesto Chicken. It came with Mac and Cheese and Potatoes. The chicken was juicy and tasty. The potatoes were nice and flavorful. The Mac and Cheese was ok. It just needs a little more flavor in the sauce. Chicken 8/10. Potatoes 9/10 Mac and Cheese 8/10. Shout out to the Chefs/Cooks the food was great!!! Shout out to the waitress she was cool. “Today I went in to grab a sandwich for the second time in a week, and the owner overcharged me and I did not know about it, then he returns the money to me when I come to pick my order up what a great human being he is they don’t make people like this anymore! Not only was I gonna come back again I’m gonna always come back plus his steak sandwiches are stuffed with steak far more than any other place and I love Philly sandwiches! And I stand on that. You have to wait a little bit for your fresh food but it’s worth it because the fries are fresh and real potatoes I just wanted to say something positive because people say something negative online too often. They have more than half a dozen 100s on their health score. Please try them out if you haven’t already. ??“

“We arrived around 6:00 p.m. on a Friday night. There were only 10 people in the restaurant. We were seated and got our drinks right way. We sat for 20 minutes before anyone took our order. We got two different waitresses. The first waitress gave us poor service. The other one at least tried. It took 1 half hours just to get served and paid. I usually leave a decent tip but after this experience I left $2.00. Our food was watery and had poor flavor. We will not be returning which is sad because we usually love the food and always had good service.“
