“Rhythm Kitchen has always been a staple in downtown Peoria for a couple of reasons…excellent food and awesome atmosphere. It’s cool that they just keep getting better and better. A group of us went there last night for dinner and it was absolutely outstanding! Service is always so friendly and you simply cannot replicate the Rhythm Kitchen vibe anywhere. The gumbo ya ya is an absolute must have, jerk chicken is crazy good and the meatloaf is classically delish. Even their grilled cheese is fantastic! And if you even think about leaving before dessert, you’re out of your mind. We were trying to be polite and share among the group, but there was a “survival of the fittest” mentality bubbling up at the table and let’s just say we were lucky to leave as friends. Few places leave you with the need to go back the very next day, but I gotta say, I need to go back…like now.“

The only con is the price of a Caesar salad, on our last visit my wife and I each got a Caesar salad to start our meal and the two salads alone was $25.00, everything else was inline with the service and atmosphere which is the best.“

The impressive thing here was you can order 1/2 pint glasses of beer for half the cost of a pint, it allows you to try more of the beer recipes and not over indulge. “As a person that grew up on this type of food. this is the most authentic and most savory food in the area. the rice is very good and when u get the mixed grill, the kebabs melt in ur mouth delicious. the falafel is the most on point in the area of peoria. even the sald is soooo good!!!!! the kebbah is seriously the best I've ever had. the shawarma is so good it just makes u wanna come back for more. You pick up your pizza from the bar, and if you get there and your pizza is not ready from a call in, they offer you a drink from the bar as a complementary, wait. 5 stars any way you ask!!“

“I give steak and fries a 5 star in all categories, there is a reason they have been here soo long, thats because the friendly quick service and one of t he best bang for your buck. I got the 7 inch steak with fries and everything on it. Was only $15. I highly recommend if you never tried steak n fries, you have to at least once.“

“I had the fish and chips, or I should say fries. They were excellent. Nice light batter on the fish and the fish was perfect. The fries were obviously natural and good fries. I would have liked them a bit crunchier but were good. They have a very good selection of Irish/ English beers and they are very good. The table however was a bit sticky. I asked for a wipe and the waitress said it wouldn't make much of a difference because it was the finish. After the wipe the table was significantly less sticky. Make of that as you may. The food was good the service good and my meal enjoyable after it became less sticky. I'll go back and worth a visit. Over all nice“

“We arrived around 6:00 p.m. on a Friday night. There were only 10 people in the restaurant. We were seated and got our drinks right way. We sat for 20 minutes before anyone took our order. We got two different waitresses. The first waitress gave us poor service. The other one at least tried. It took 1 half hours just to get served and paid. I usually leave a decent tip but after this experience I left $2.00. Our food was watery and had poor flavor. We will not be returning which is sad because we usually love the food and always had good service.“
