I don’t know what a restaurant like this is doing in the middle of Peoria, Illinois but I’ll take it! This bakery is the best bakery we’ve seen in the US so far (and we travel a lot). I got the breakfast sandwich and the croissant they used melted like butter. They used thick real bacon, not some store bought brittle crap. My wife got the dumplings and she was blown away how good they were. She also got matcha and said It’s better than any other matcha she’s ever made, I was shocked to hear it. I got the tepache, which is a fermented pineapple drink. It’s genuinely the most refreshing beverage I’ve ever had. Everything was so good we decided to take a pizza to go and that was not a mistake. It’s wood fired (you can see the literally wood they fire in the kitchen) and it’s legit. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE! It’s very expensive, but worth the money!

I stopped today to try their baked goods for the first time. Caramel apple danish & , cream, cheese, brioche bun. Both were amazing! Perfect blend of sweet and flakey danish or fluffy brioche and sweet. There was a line at the grab and go counter but it moved quickly. Next time we will get breakfast it looked wonderful.

Very poor customer service. We waited for 10 minutes to be seated. A waiter was standing right in front of us and did not bother to ask. Had to left the place eventually. Very unprofessional
My goodness! Their pastries are out-of- this-world delicious! This is the place for those folks who avoid American desserts because they are too sugary and too sweet. In a welcome contrast, Ardor's pastries have a Europeanesque quality and mild sweetness that make them a wonderful delicacy.

Great selection of pastries and bread on the bakery side. Everything we tried was delicious but the lime danish and the sourdough baguette were our favorites.

Pastry was decent, but I never seen a place that is run so inefficiently! When you order a pastry, muffin, etc, which is literally within arms reach of the cashier, they take your name and direct you around to stand in a small waiting area, or in front of the kitchen entrance, which we had to do because there were about 9 people ahead of me that were still waiting at 10am to get their order. Unless, they had to make you a drink, you should just be handed your items and be on your way. Kudos to the employees that were working though because there were five of them trying to cashier, pull and bag orders, make drinks, and replenish items in the display case- ALL in a space that was about 4 ft by 12 ft- they were literally shoulder to shoulder bumping into each other.

ARDOR Breads and Provisions is a wonderful spot that leaves a lasting impression. The ambience is warm and inviting with a clean space, cozy interiors, and beautiful pictures on the walls that add charm to the dining experience. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, and the chef is very friendly too, making the visit even more enjoyable. We have known this place since the time it did not have the additional seating area, and it has only grown better over time.
Both the food and beverages are excellent. Every bite shows the effort the team is putting behind, and the menu offers delicious flavors that make it worth every visit. The bakery items are a highlight and should definitely not be missed, as they showcase freshness and great taste.
Parking is convenient too, with public parking available just opposite the restaurant.
