Zeal. Passion. Concupiscence. Ardor is all of these, with a laser-like focus on quality baked goods. The assorted breakfast pastries are a tour de force of laminated pastries, delectable Danishes, and grandmotherly cookies. The bread, well, the bread deserves another review entirely where I describe the first few bites of focaccia, the way it absorbed the dipping oil, the perfectly springy texture. The brioche loaf made the most amazing sandwiches I have had in some time, while also transforming into a transcendent French toast.

I have tried many kinds of tartine and this one is the best that I ever had so far! I live 3 hours away from Peoria and I can’t wait to go back for more! I’m craving for it every day!!!

Love this place. Different types of food, always changing. They actually serve strong coffee! The bakery is wonderful. The workstaff are great. I've recommended this place to family and friends.

Delicious and innovative food! Fresh ingredients and adaptable to special requests (for a vegetarian). Super fast and friendly service. It is located in an old building by the river, which is cool, but the seating is somewhat tight and because it was busy when I was there, it was a little noisy. Overall a very good experience!

Vegetarian options: They were happy to leave off the bacon for me!

Parking: Cross the street to the city lot.

The "sharing" menu is fine if that's what you want. This chef did the same at Black Band and it didn't work. Have always loved Ardor but will not return until I am able to have my food at the same time as my dinner companions.

I was not expecting such a culinary experience when I pushed the door for the first time. The trout was absolutely wonderful...with great bread...no desert...I wanted to keep the flavour of the sauce. Not cheap but worth the money

The food and drinks are always phenomenal at Ardor. I’ve been visiting since 2023, and the pastries are always fresh. Their dine-in menu ranges from comfort food to large platters of fresh bread, preserves, and other tasty things.

This time, I got the Grilled Cheese, Tomato Bisque, and Matcha Rose Latte. Their chai is also delicious. The Breakfast Platter and Krispykougin are great too.

I'm very impressed with Ardor Breads. This old building used to be a plumber's office/store and they remodeled it into a nice restaurant. I came in for breakfast and sat near the counter, where I could see all the beautiful/tasty items coming out fresh from the kitchen, and I was truly amazed at all the delicious looking food. Nice crowd in here and many others were seated at tables outside. Place was packed! I loved my Zucchini Omelet with fresh orange juice. Staff were professional and very kind to me. Before leaving, I bought a few beautiful pastries that I saw in the window. Great breads, pastries, & food! I'll be back! (2024) 🥚🍳 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Easy access location, great service and excellent food. My seasonal Turkey sandwich on fresh baked bread kept me full all afternoon.
