Tour guide was very knowledgeable, and the tour and tasting was a fun experience!

four grain bourbon one of my favorites of all time.

We were excited to dine at Blackband tonight Saturday 8/23/25. It was not the experience we are used to from past visits. Our first drinks at the bar took a little while longer to get but were worth it. We had reservations at 6:15 and were seated promptly. That was when things changed. We were seated for a good bit of time before being waited on. Once our server came to us we went ahead and ordered our meal at that time. The olives came out and were delicious, spinach and artichoke followed and also very good. It was probably around about 20-25 minutes before our first large plate came out, it was the steak kabobs. They were cold and tough, the rice was delicious and the only thing warm. The vegetables were also cold. We were hungry and gave the benefit of the doubt. We didn’t hear or see our server for at least another 30 minutes after we finished the first plate. It was another 15-20 after that before she came back and said the kitchen was running behind. Another 20 minutes goes by before we are told the are plating the food. Probably another 10 before it comes out. We had the cod tostadas. They were good, bit at that point we weren’t even hungry anymore from waiting so long.

Not sure if just an off night, I expected more for the price and past experiences. We were bit billed for the cod tostadas but still had to chase our server down for the bill. We were at our table for a little over 2 hours and we really one got to enjoy cold chewy steak. We watched a table of 10 be seated well after we ordered and enjoy their food as we sat waiting to be acknowledged. I am sure we will be back in time, but it will be a while before the sour taste of this experience has past.

Pros: butter chicken wings and craft cocktails

Cons: horrible bartender service, overpriced and limited food menu, charges for bad condiments that are apparently made in house. Fries lack flavor. Ketchup tastes like unsalted tomato sauce

Would possibly come back to try other drinks

Me and my fiancé went for our first time for a date night and we will definitely be back. The atmosphere was beautiful. The drinks were very delicious and I’m not a drink person but I found my absolute favorite! The flavors just blend so well together so definitely have to try the sunshine green dream! We first got the smash burger which was absolutely the most amazing burger and then ended up trying the grilled cheese. I was very skeptical about it but to my surprise it was absolutely delicious. I could have used more jam actually but that was just our opinion. But then the real star are those fries!!! They are out of this world and if you need a sauce the homemade ketchup and ranch are very good. A little pricey so we can’t go as often but definitely a great treat for a date night!

The service was unacceptable. When we first arrived we were told we need a reservation but also that we could be at the bar or standing table. We sat at a standing table and the workers proceeded to ignore us until I physically came up to order. The hostess who greeted us was rude and kept looking at us like we were not supposed to be there. The service was extremely slow yet we were only ordering drinks and everyone in there was staring. Honestly don’t recommend for black people, the vibe is definitely off.

We did the Distillery Tour and it was fantastic! Very informative about their processes and the rich distillery history of Peoria.

Booked a rehersal wedding party in the upstairs portion of the building- couldnt even have a dedicated server after spending thousands of dollars. The staff ignored and were rude to multiple members of our party, in a dead restaurant. The manager provided excuse after excuse for short coming after short coming before not being able to be found. Do not book events here, save your money for something else. I wish I could give zero stars.

I need to come here more! Each time I’ve been here, I’ve been very impressed. The food is next level. The atmosphere is cool. Love the music. The house made spirits are not the only thing this place has to offer. Would be a great venue for a date or group outing.

Their gin is one of my favorites!

This place is absolutely beautiful. The bourbon is decent. Bartenders couldn't answer simple question about the products. I ordered a grilled cheese and an old fashion. 18 dollars is ridiculous for what showed up. Very little cheese, but swimming in the berry sauce. The 15 dollar Old Fashion wasn't OK. I wish you the best.

COULD HAVE BEEN A 5 STAR EASILY! The distillery tour was great. Tate, the tour host was awesome. The spirits they distill there are fantastic. But my entrée was smaller than our appetizer but much more expensive. I ordered the dumplings. You get 5 dumplings (literally) the size of gumballs, a pinch of kale and part of a mushroom for $22. Everyone else in my party got the smashburger, which was cheaper, and was probably 5x as much food. If the menu said it was a tiny portion, I wouldn’t be upset, but judging by the fact that it is one of the more expensive items you might think it is an adult size portion. I MAY GO BACK BUT I WON’T BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY THE MENU AGAIN.

I brought my friend from St.Louis to Black Band Distillery for some locally made bourbon and local cocktails. My friend loved the house bourbon. I tried a pulp fiction cocktail. My drink was great
. We tried the Cajun wings with our drinks. The bar staff, (where we sat)were excellent. Our drinks were quick to be refilled and were professionally prepared.
Outstanding atmosphere in the building. We met some interesting people there also enjoying the bourbon and food. I will be returning soon.

This was my first time at Blackband. I’m not sure if they were having an off night, but the service was absolutely horrible and the bartenders were incredibly rude. I sat at the bar for over 20 minutes before I was even acknowledged. My friend ordered a craft cocktail, and it took over 20 more minutes for them to pour a premade drink into a glass (after being asked about it). Also, be prepared to be charged $6 for ketchup if you order the fries as a bar snack. Cool atmosphere if you don’t mind being treated like an inconvenience.

Just a casual traveler here for a comedian. Sat at the bar and 20 minutes later still had not received water or a greeting. Stayed out of principle just to see how long the service would skip over us. 40 minutes past and we had enough, cool space but worst service I’ve ever experienced.
