I can’t tell you how happy we were with all the work that Minnie, Tate and the Chef put into making our event a huge success. All the beautiful and elegant details on the table setting and around the private upper room, the timely communication of Minnie with her event planning ideas. They were all greatly appreciated. I have arranged event planning for a very long time and this team is top-notch !
The food was delicious and atmosphere of our event was very elegant and relaxing. Tate gave an awesome tour of the distillery and did such a great job explaining the long history of bourbon and whiskey production in Peoria, Illinois. The spirits taste great too 🙌
What a great team and I highly recommend using them for teambuilding events, or just hanging out and having a great dinner.

Black band distillery is a place with great food, the elk loin was amazing, but the service was amazing also, our waiters name was Jonah he provided the best service my wife and I had at the restaurant.

Coming from Chicago we had high hopes for this place. The ambiance & presentation was 10/10. The execution of menu items was however the most disappointing. The olives were pitted, but not stuffed on my martini (listed on the menu as stuffed). With a limited menu, the expectation behind the smoked burger was that it was going to blow our minds, but fell so flat. The pork belly, the pickled onions, nothing had flavor. The lamb was the worst of all, felt like an old cut of meat that was a little slimy. Unfortunately, will not be back.

Tara and I celebrated our anniversary at The Bar at BLACK BAND in Peoria last night. It was our first time visiting, but it won’t be our last!
The atmosphere was impressive, the service staff was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Even the runner who brought our dishes was able to detail every ingredient in each dish.
Our server Josie was attentive but not overbearing. Our every need was addressed immediately. We were seated near the kitchen, and had the pleasure of watching and hearing the kitchen staff at work. Tara and I could not stop smiling at how fantastic the evening was.
The food was like something out of a novel. Charcuterie, roasted Brussels Sprouts, deviled eggs, and crab cakes. Each bite perfectly balanced. The lemon in the deviled eggs was surprising, but welcome, and added a bright, fresh flavor to a simple dish. I’m not one for seafood, but Tara raved about the crab cakes, and they looked amazing to me.
Cocktails were balanced, flavorful, and the perfect complement to our meal.
When I say that the experience was outstanding, it’s a huge understatement. Go check it out!
If I am paying $19.00 for an ounce of bourbon and I want an ice cube in my glass the bartender damn well better put an ice cube in my glass and not lecture me on how I want my drink

Great place for a celebration! We brought my dad for his birthday and did the distillery tour, happy hour, and dinner. The tour (given by Tate, I believe) and tasting was really engaging and the spirits are great! I learned so much about the history of Peoria and the whiskey business. Service was impeccable; our server Brianna was a joy and made sure we had all we needed. The food was fabulous. Truly not a bad moment in the experience, and we were there for hours! Highly recommend.
