My daughter in law has been recommending Casa De Arte for awhile now. I finally went with my sister and it was so delicious! Service was excellent, margarita was excellent and the food was excellent! We are going back in the near future for my sister's birthday. I highly recommend!

It was a great experience from the start. The owner welcomed us and took our orders. She was fabulous about answering our questions. Servers were very pleasant and responsive. The food was terrific, authentic, and reasonably priced. I had three different types of tacos. Guacamole, salsa, and chips were very, very tasty. The ambiance is that of an art gallery because the place is filled with the art work of the owner’s husband. The restaurant is situated in a renovated old brick building in a downtown area that is being rejuvenated. Parking is ample and on the street. It is a destination spot, worthy of the time it takes you to drive there for no other reason than enjoying a fantastic authentic Mexican meal. Casa de Arte is a welcoming restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere where you just want to linger to enjoy the food and soak up the ambiance.

We just wanted Mexican food and found this gem of an art gallery, tequila bar and restaurant! Chips and salsa were great so we’re the tacos!

Today was my birthday, having lived in Denver for 28 years, love, excellent, authentic Mexican food. In my opinion, the only choice we have in the peoria area for comparable, delight, is this restaurant. I GOT MY BIRTHDAY WISH, had tacos and tequila at casa. LOVED IT!!!

It's nice but the al pastor certainly is not authentic, it was bland with no flavor or spice besides the hot sauce served on the side. The streak tacos had no flavor either. It's always the same with these supposed art style foods. A taco restaurant but they introduce themselves as an art gallery first and then secondly a restaurant. I spent $4 per taco, I bought 4 tacos and a typical lagunitas beer that I didn't drink. It's always kind of a tell tale sign when restaurants have only lagunitas ipa as their only ipa choice, it's like they're thinking "oh make sure you have an ipa on the list to make it look like we're hip and in and it covers the beer list of options" when really that limited bland choice of a beer just shows how not artsy they are. It's incredible how people consider themselves artists but their product lacks in depth layers of soul...

Food was absolutely fantastic and very authentic. Do not miss the street corn. Salsa and guac are ridiculous! Still can't figure out why places like this don't offer full service. We would be happy to have table service and leave a tip.

I'm not usually in the area, but stopped here last week. I had al pastor and shrimp tacos. Both were very good, and the shrimp taco in particular blew me away - best new thing I've encountered in Peoria for a few months. My wife had mushroom and lengua tacos, and loved the lengua. I'm curious about other things on the menu, so I'll be back.
