This place has the best Mexican food in the Peoria area! The staff are always happy to see you and the service is quick. I love the restaurant feel and always look for an excuse to come here.

The guacamole was delicious and I also tried the Al pastor and Carne Asado tacos which were so tasty. All of the staff was welcoming and friendly. It was quick to get to from the highway as we were passing through town and there was plenty of parking.

Try the breakfast burrito. I believe it's spelled Chopporitas?

Went there for corn tortilla tacos and they don't make "crispy fried tacos" like out west. I got myself a breakfast burrito (eggs&chorizo) instead. That was good and tasty. The size for $10 eh maybe, nowadays you don't get that much for your buck.
Taco Take: I grew up in Cali where corn tortilla tacos are always fried. Don't know why they think steaming them is good in the Midwest. There are restaurants that will crispy fry them for you, just have to ask. This place won't. That's my take. I will be back for something in the future just not tacos.

The steak burrito and hidalgo quesadilla are definitely some of the best in Peoria (as you can see from my empty plate)! The tacos were flavorful but dry. The salsa they provided helps advance the flavor and adds a spice. Service was friendly and fast! There's room for seating but not too much so get there early if you want to dine-in for lunch. Parking out front is metered, and while I was there I watched the meterman checking the meters so be careful. Free parking in the lot across the train tracks. This place is also open for breakfast, so I'll be back to try that out!

Small downtown lunch counter spot. Had chicken con pollo and my daughter had the chicken quesadilla. Food was fast, hot, and fresh. Most importantly, it was absolutely delicious. Will return.

After all the 5 star reviews here, figured we'll try it. VERY disappointing. Staff is friendly. Customers are mainly people standing around waiting to pick up orders, with a few sitting to eat. Food was extremely salty (one chicken quesadilla and one chicken burrito) to the point of being nearly inedible. The chicken quesadilla was more of a chicken taco, only with a flour tortilla instead of corn. The rice was not even luke warm and just as salty as the chicken. We were both very disappointed, considering that it is rather pricey and all the 5-stars here. All in all, this was a one-time deal for us. Had better, much better. Giving 2 stars for friendly staff, else it would be a flat zero.
