We were visiting Illinois for the weekend and our server, Melanie C, at the North Humboldt Ave location, was so amazing that I brought our entire family back for a second morning in a row. The only thing I hoped for was oat milk or macadamia nut milk (just not almond milk) for a latte! The fresh squeezed juice was so refreshing. Thank you! Thanks, Melanie!

First off, let me start by saying our waitress, Casey(Hope I spelled it right), had on point service. She was friendly, attentive, & professional. She answered any questions we had.
Next, I have a wheat allergy so I got their GLUTEN-FRIENDLY bread & it was super soft and tasted AMAZING! So much so that we ordered 20 pieces to take home.
There was a wide variety of coffee & juice selections. The coffee blew Starbucks out of the water!
All the food was fresh & perfect temperature when it came out. The prices were very reasonable as well.
Lastly, we asked to speak to the manager, Annette. We had to tell her how wonderful everything was. We also noticed how happy the staff was to be there. We live up by Chicago & I can say this place definitely was a 5 star restaurant!

I want to thank Izzy for the amazing service! The food was delicious! We got the artichoke dip platter (AMAZING & only $10) and I got the club that I couldn't finish. It was HUGE! The berry French toast smelled great and the burger was cooked perfectly! We spent roughly $15-20 each.

We like Childers for brunch. Great menu with alot of different options for food and drinks! Sometimes the scrambled eggs are reminiscent of cafeteria eggs and Sometimes they seem like real eggs, lol
I love that they have gluten-free toast although I hate paying and extra 3 or 4 dollars per slice when in actuality that 1 slice is replacing a side of pancakes or biscuits and gravy. To me 1 slice of gluten free toast should just be a replacement for the pancakes or biscuits and gravy side that I cannot have and dont get anyways. Ive never been offered a replacement like fruit or something else by any server ever either. So in the end im paying for the choice of pancakes or biscuits and gravy but not getting either or even offered a replacement AND im also paying 3 or 4 bucks for 1 slice of toast. Doesn't really make sense

Arrived for breakfast..table was a see-saw(needed repair). Sugar packet container was filthy. Omelet had a gray color.. omelet s are usually yellow. Hash browns were over cooked. Asked for dark toast .. got warm bread. Lastly..biscuits and gray were so salty I couldn’t eat them. Bill $50. We won’t be back.
