We stopped in on route from Derby to Chard, having found you quite by accident on Google maps. What a wonderful surprise! A gorgeous little boho paradise with great food (the vegan tagine and broccoli and Stilton soup were delicious), and a warm and friendly welcome from the owner and from Xena the dog. It’s a long way from home, but hopefully we’ll be back!
Fried chicken very good and piece sizes are large. I had all white meat served with mashed potatoes tasted (homemade) and gravy and salad. French dressing not traditional, it's better. Also served with yeast rolls with honey butter (I believe) and 2 small cinnamon rolls. Wish there were more. Desserts very good and if you come for dinner, still ask for coffee cake. Take it home at eat the pie in the restaurant.
The food was very regular but then again it's hospital food. I had general's chicken and these two toned noodles that were very salty. One thing I would say that pricing wasn't bad and staff was very friendly.
