My sister and I went to Dar Al-Coffee for the first time this past Saturday to check it out and see what kind of things they had to offer! We've seen people making videos & showing the drinks that they ordered. Everything looks amazing so it was hard to decide on just one, same thing with the foods! I ordered the caramel apple waffle and my sister got the honeycomb bread. We both enjoyed what we got but I have to tell you, don't sleep on the waffle! That was absolutely fantastic, I never really tasted anything like it before and I enjoyed it immensely. It was hard for me to save half of it to take home to share with my family. My sister really enjoyed hers as well and took hers home to share. We both enjoyed our coffees she had the Nutella hot coffee and I had the Yemeni cookie coffee. I'm used to more sweeter coffee but I wasn't mad about it. I should have tried the famous strawberry Dubai coffee one but I didn't, I'm definitely going to have to try that next time. While we were sitting there, we heard about six people order that and it sounded like they knew what they were doing lol! They also have a little glass case with some desserts inside of it, looks like there's some sort of chocolate covered fruits and some Dubai cheesecakes and whatnot, it all looks so good and I'm looking forward to trying some of those things!
The decorations & the seating options were nice, loved the contemporary look of the chairs. Although, I think they could use a few more seats. They seem to be quite popular, there were quite a few people coming in and out. There were two ladies working and one gentleman. I'm not sure if he was the owner or not I didn't get a chance to speak to him because they were so busy. But I did get a chance to ask one of the ladies how long they been open and she said it was just a few months. She was very kind and was apologizing to everybody for their wait.
The parking lot was kind of small and pushed off to the side of a building off of a busy road. You could probably fit maybe 10 cars there I guess, and also every parking place was filled when we left. It would definitely be exciting to see them move to a bigger location with a bigger parking lot, I feel like they would be getting even more people coming in!
Overall I had a great first visit here and I'm looking forward to going back and trying something else new in the future. If you haven't made it there yet, get over there so you can try it!

Horrible experience—ordered a chai tea and was served an earl grey tea instead. When I let the cashier know, she just shrugged and said that “maybe Yemeni chai tastes like earl grey.” She asked me if I wanted a carrier for the tea, and I said no, that I wasn’t planning to take it with me because it wasn’t what I had ordered. She just shrugged and walked away. I would have been happy with an offer for a different drink, but she did NOTHING to even try to make it right. Given their high prices, I am more than a little irritated by how bad the service was. I can’t even root for people who are this rude to succeed. If you are going to charge people $8 for a cup of cheap, bad tea and $15 for a fancy cup of chocolate strawberries then DO BETTER.

I was in town for work and I stopped here for breakfast. I got the apple danish and cinnamon roll latte. Both were absolutely amazing! The danish I think is the best apple danish I’ve ever eaten. It was light and fluffy and buttery. It was delicious. I highly recommend stopping here! A little jealous it’s all the way in Peoria and not by my home haha.

I’m giving atmosphere a 5, but I wasn’t actually there. This was DoorDash, so I’m going to assume the atmosphere is as good as the food was and the service was quick, I got my order in minutes. I ordered the Dubai Chocolate cup with the strawberries. I knew the AI description on DoorDash was wrong, and I counted on that. 🤣 I was exactly correct in what to expect. At first glance the cup is so full to near overflowing, you swear it’s gonna be way too much chocolate. Let me tell you, it’s more strawberries than the chocolate & pistachio cream, which is a good thing ! Strawberries are not cheap, so the value of this item is so good, it justifies the price readily. It’s a really good balance with the chocolate, the Kenefe, & the pistachio cream. You don’t need much of all of that with the strawberries, it could easily be overpowering. They got the balance just right. I was going to meet a friend for coffee on Thursday. Maybe I’ll see if she wants to go here. I’m very impressed, very happy with my order. I’ll be visiting them again soon. Good job !!! 👏🏻
