We were very disappointed with our meals. We were there last fall and just decided we would not come back. But now I am seeing reviews, and hope things have changed. We do not mind paying a high price for a meal, but everything should be EXEPTIONAL.

My husband and I love Fish House. We eat here somewhat frequently and always had great experiences, until last night. I always order the grilled Mahi Mahi because it’s delicious. I’m not sure what happened last night, but it was not good. We’re almost positive what I received wasn’t Mahi Mahi because this was a dark colored fish that wasn’t as meaty and tasted fishy. I asked the server and she said it was probably a different cut then basically walked away. It would have been nice if she had actually taken it seriously and offered to make sure a mistake hadn’t been made. And if it actually was Mahi Mahi, I’m upset that the quality being served isn’t anywhere near what it has been even recently. It’s discouraging to spend the money on a nice meal and not receive the experience we’ve grown to expect from Fish House.

We have been going for 10 years. Tonight we went for anniversary and will not be back. Portions so small, increased prices but most importantly our older male waiter was horrible. He rolled his eyes when my husband said steak was not medium well. Did not want to be there not pleasant did not smile or ask how we were doing. The service was the most disappointing as we would have another drink if he would have asked. For $100 plus will never be back. The girl that covered for him even apologized for his service.
Dinner was great ! Fresh salad, I got the chicken dinner so soft not over cooked 😋

Between the food service and atmosphere, it's all really good. A flare of fancy and deliciousness. The low lighting and quiet atmosphere make for a great experience.

Appetizers: seared tuna and crab turnover pastries. Excellent! Best seared tuna ever.
Lobster bisque: good. Not the typical tomato base with sherry but still good.
Drinks: mango mojito- very good! Stawberry lemon basin maryini - good. French 75 - decent.
Grouper Oskar - very good.
Halibut Florentine - excellent.
Key lime pie - respectable.
You'll need reservations. 530 was crowded.

Best seafood in central Illinois! We drive over 40 miles here, as often as we can. The oysters are wonderful and the rolls, oh my goodness, the best!

Great food and the decor has a comfortable retro vibe. Service is first rate and the wine selection is good. The creme brulee is perfect.

As restaurant prices rise, so do our expectations and perceptions of value; the Fish House met and exceeded all of mine! It was great!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had! I get halibut every time I see it on the menu and this was hands down the best halibut. Lily, our waitress was super nice and friendly. Everyone at our table was very happy with the service and our food.
