First time visit, we spotted it while driving by. Best to call ahead and order, there was a wait, but man oh man was it worth the weight a hundred times over. Hands down, without a doubt, the BEST chicken & fish I've had in Illinois. The gals were so friendly, all smiles and adorable, but listen.... Y'all aint gonna be able to go back to Popeyes or KFC after this chicken. Seriously. Amazing. Food.
This place is amazing! Right up there with Nashville legendary bird spots, friendly staff, fantastic menu, great variety of birds, beasts, and four footed things, gives that movie vibe from basic atmosphere to the presentation of dishes like good ole southern cookin. Excellent cat fish fillets and okra and slaw and bread! Far from my place but worth the drive! Oh yea. Fair prices. They’re going to start serving breakfast on Sunday morning and Monday morning.
