Always love the food here, and I contend it's the best Indian/Pakistani style food around, but keep in mind it's..a bit of a dive. If that's not your thing, understandable..but you're missing out. I tend to order their Pepper Chicken to-go, it's cooked fresh, hot, and the portion is usually 2 meals for me.

Their curries, particularly the Makhani and Qorma are also great, and they try up some nontraditional stuff like Cauliflower and Green Bean dishes with their unique spices.

It's not the cleanest looking place. I was truly disappointed with the atmosphere.

Masala Cafe is truly a gem for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine, especially traditional Hyderabadi biryani. The moment you step in, you're greeted by an inviting ambiance, creating a perfect setting for enjoying a delicious meal.

Their Hyderabadi biryani is the star of the show—perfectly cooked, aromatic, and bursting with authentic flavors. Every bite showcases a delightful balance of spices, tender meat, and fragrant basmati rice, leaving a lasting impression. Beyond biryani, Masala Cafe offers an extensive menu featuring a variety of delectable Indian dishes, each prepared meticulously and rich in taste.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a taste of authentic Indian culinary tradition!

The best halal fried chicken in Peoria. Lunch buffet is a steal. There are some limitations in the setting, but the food is excellent.

This place is a diamond in the rough. My husband and I came here for lunch and had the buffet. Everything we tried was phenomenal and there was plenty of vegetarian options for my husband. Can't wait to come back for more!

What a hidden gem! The lunch buffet was fresh with about 10-12 entrees items. Vegetarians and Vegans on the road: you won’t be disappointed! They have meat based items too. The fresh naan was kindly brought to us by the one server. We are pinning this place on our road map! This humble restaurant is in a beautiful mid-century modern building. Enjoy!

Vegetarian options: Eggplant masala, cauliflower&green bean curry, okra masala, saag paneer, Chana masala, aloo gobi.

Parking: Dedicated parking lot and plenty of space on the street.

this restaurant isn't exactly glamorous but this might be THE best food I've had in Peoria. the lunch buffet has a decent variety with a good amount of vegetarian options. they also bring you naan when you sit down to eat. coming from Chicago I've been searching for something to replace the void in my heart (and stomach) and I'd honestly give this a solid 9.5/10. try the chicken 65 and spinach!
