This is a really charming unique brewery in downtown Peoria. Food was delicious and the service was friendly. Would highly recommend you check this place out

Great history! Great service! But absolutely no dairy free options unless you want a salad. Meaning I couldn’t eat any entrees or sides which defeated the purpose of my coming here. Waitstaff are very knowledgeable when it comes to allergies and help tremendously with helping you select something that is safe to eat.Dietary restrictions: No dairy free options other than a salad. Would not recommend eating here if you have dairy allergies. Fries have dairy, tortillas have dairy, all bread and bun options have dairy, flatbreads have dairy, many salad dressing have dairy, do not recommend coming here if you have a dairy allergy. They do have a gluten free bun though, which (you guessed it) has dairy…

My recent visit was a journey of mixed experiences, but one thing stood out: the exceptional service. The atmosphere is undeniably intriguing, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The energy in the air adds to the overall ambiance, making it a place worth exploring. Our server was the true highlight of the evening. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, making the meal truly enjoyable. As for the food, while it didn't quite reach the heights of culinary excellence, it certainly had its moments. There were some dishes that impressed, though none left me speechless. One minor letdown was the cheese accompanying the pretzel. It arrived slightly colder than expected, and the texture was not quite up to par. However, this was a minor hiccup in an otherwise enjoyable meal.Surprisingly, the root beer stole the show. It was an unexpected delight, adding a refreshing twist to the dining experience. In summary, Obed & Isaac's offers a unique atmosphere, exceptional service, and food that, while not mind-blowing, still manages to satisfy. With a few tweaks, it could easily become a go-to spot for a memorable meal out.

Server and host were very friendly and nice. We enjoyed a tasting of the dessert menu, all very good options. Atmosphere needs dusted high/low, other than that we enjoyed the old church.

This is a place that has to be seen to be believed. While I've been in some churches that have been converted into restaurants/breweries, none has done it as well as this one. The architecture, the windows, the artistry of the place is just awe inspiring, and that's even without getting into the food or beers! Service was prompt and helpful in determining a few orders for our group. The food was cooked precisely to desired doneness, and the selection of beers was wider than you'd find at some other restaurants of it's size. Finally, the root beer is top notch with just a bit of a bite, almost sarsaparilla like (in a great way).

Well, we didn't get to eat there because it was busy and an hour wait time mainly because it's an awesome place to eat at and popular. I've been there 3 years ago and the food and staff was great.

I love the environment here. Great vibe. The beer is above average. They have a sampler. I'd start with that. Good appetizers. Try the scotch eggs or pulled pork nachos.

We had a wonderful experience at the Altar table for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. The food was great, even for the picky eaters in our family. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere perfect for our little celebration.Vegetarian options: We have 2 vegetarians in the family and both were pleased with the options! One got a veggie burger and the other got a veggie burger patty as a Horseshoe.

We stopped for a late lunch splurge! It was quiet and we loved it...it was my second time there...I celebrated my 60th birthday there last year on a weekend night...which was much busier and lively...both trips are memorable...and being a member of OES I enjoyed the bathroom too! What a great monument they have saved! Really I'm at a loss for words...worth every penny!

Food was great, but no normal decent beer. They don't even list IBU for their homemade stuff.
